Good Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The card I made today is for this week's ABC blog challenge which is to create a card that is double embossed. You can use heat and dry embossing or you can use 2 different dry embossed patterns. I decided to use heat embossing on my background and a dry embossed layer behind my flower. My striped green layer has some paper tearing across the top.

I used the large open flower stamp from the SU Field Flowers stamp set for my heat embossing on my background. It turned out great! For my main flower image I wanted to cut it out so that I could layer it onto a dry embossed panel, I stamped it and cut it out using scissors and then an x-acto knife for the tricky smaller areas. The flower is placed onto my dry embossed layer using dimensionals. I had to cut some of the dimensionals in half so that they would fit behind the flower stem.

To finish my card, I added some crochet trim ribbon and my sentiment that I decided to place sideways along the flower image panel. I hope you can come play along with us this week. The DT over at ABC Challenges would love to see your cards too! Have a great day!

Good Morning! I needed to make a pet sympathy card and I pulled out a retired Stampin' Up! set called 'D is for Dog'. I haven't used this set much, but I'm so glad I kept it.

The upper part of my background is dry embossed using my cloudy day embossing folder and the lower half of my background is actually designer series paper that I stamped the paw print on using black ink. This is a great way to use of some of the paper from the paper stack packs.

I have a black strip of card stock across my card and I made that by punching it using my scallop border punch and I added a row of white dots using my white gel pen all along the scallops.

My main puppy image was created by stamping the dog and then I added some green grass along the puppy's feet using my certainly celery marker. Then I used my spritzer tool and a black marker and I spritzed all around the puppy image. Next, I added some rhinestone gems for the collar and I stamped and cut out the dog bone. My puppy image layer is placed on my card using dimensionals.

To finish the front of my card I added some white ribbon and my sentiment. My sentiment also has dimensionals underneath it. I rarely ever stamp on the inside of my card, but this time I decided to give it a try. Below is a photo of the inside.

I took the dog paw stamp and I stamped a few paw prints. Then I used a scrap piece of paper and I used it as a mask to spritz some black ink along the left side and over paw prints.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you liked my card! It's going to be a hot one here in PA so it looks like the kids and I will be swimming a lot this week. Have a great day & stay cool!

Hi everyone! I know I've been missing for some time now, but I'm still here. I've been so busy lately and trying to catch up with my stamping. My daughter just graduated from high school and then I had a party for her. Now she's busy working and she'll start college in January. We're also busy training a new puppy- that's always fun..LOL

I'm still very active with my challenge blog and the card I made today is for our Christmas in July challenge. There's still time to play along since the linky doesn't close until tomorrow (at noon EST) so I hope you'll come play along with us. You can make any Christmas/Holiday card you'd like.

I kept my card easy and I just stamped the images and colored them using my SU markers. Then I added some glitter for the snow and I finished off my card using some ribbon and that's it, super quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
Good morning! I know I've been missing for a little while, but I'm still here. This is a busy time of year for me and with baseball season and my son's first game is today. I hope his team does well today.

You may have noticed something a little different about my blog. I've added tabs along the top and I made a Stampin' Up! Specials & Announcements tab. I will post any SU news there and I will keep that updated so if you are looking for any SU news simply click on that tab above.

I made this card for my ABC blog challenge and since Earth Day is this week we've decided to go ahead and use something recycled on your card. There's still time to play along this week some come join us. The current challenge can be found here.

I was looking through my sewing basket because I had to sew a patch on my son's baseball uniform and I came across some denim patches and I was about to throw them out when it dawned on me that I should try to use one and I did. My lattice die cut was made from an old denim patch. I have to tell you I was very surprised at how nicely my big shot and the die cut through the patch. I never cut anything other than paper so this was a nice surprise.

My white and river rock backgrounds are dry embossed using the perfect polka dots embossing folder. My flowers were cut out using the blossom party die and the flower centers were punched using a 1/2" circle punch. I had a small strip of the denim patch left so I cut it and place that towards the bottom of my card. I have dimensionals under my river rock layer.

I used the ticket punch to punch out my sentiment. I'll have to create a video showing you how I did that, but basically I stamped my sentiment and then punched it out making sure the words were along the top part of the ticked and then I placed the punch out onto a scrap peice of card stock and I was able to punch it again along the bottom and that is how I was able to make the punched shape more narrow that it really is.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and thank you to my new followers. I promise I will begin posting more often now. Have a great day!

This card was made for the color focus challenge which was to use the soon to be retired incolors. I decided to use all of the retiring incolors in my stamped flower image. I just stamped the flowers and and I added a few basic pearls in the center of some of the flowers and then I cut out my image using the label framaelits.

My background was dry embossed using my honeycomb embossing folder and they all I needed to do was to assemble my card and add my ribbon and sentiment.

This card was made for the Holiday focus which was to create a masculine card and we were to try using a non-masculine set or try a new technique. For this card I decided to try a new technique.

I never tried double embossing before and so on this card I decided to give it a try. I dry embossed my background using the chevron embossing folder and then using my versamark ink pad and clear embossing powder I heat embossed over the raised embossed background. It turned out great and it looks neat in person. I even clear embossed over the blue truck on my image.

To create my image I did some paper piecing. I really didn't want to color the image so I just did some stamping. I stamped my image first using cajun craze ink and then I stamped it again onto a piece of scrap paper using night of navy ink. I cut out the night of navy truck and placed it on top of my main stamped image. I did the same thing for the 'fresh apples' sign using more mustard ink. I did use my SU markers to color in some of the grass and the apples.

This card was made for the Holiday focus which was to create a masculine card and we were to try using a non-masculine set or try a new technique. On this card I used the create a cupcake set and I tried making masculine cupcakes. What do you think? I think it worked. The cupcake tops were stamped, punched out and dry embossed using my perfect polka dots embossing folder. The bottom of the cupcakes were just stamped and punched out. The center cupcake has a bow stamped on it and I added a small rhinestone gem.

I did some paper piercing along the top and bottom of my baja breeze card stock and I used my scallop border punch along the bravo burgundy card stock layer. To complete my card I added some twine and then stamped the sentiment.

And lastly, I made another card for the holiday focus which was to create a masculine card and we were to try using a non-masculine set or try a new technique I'm not sure if I like the way this card turned out, but I figured I'd better let it alone before I mess it up.

I used the leafy image from the SU Just Belive stamp set. I stamped the leaves and then the sentiment slightly over it. I then cut it out using the ovals collection framelits. On the crumb cake oval I added some paper piercing and I did some distressing using my scissors along the oval edge.

I even tried a new technique on this card. After I dry embossed the chocolate chip layer using my argyle embossing folder I swiped my white craft ink pad along the raised areas to sort of give it the sanded/distressed look.

My background was dry embossed with some lines using my simply score board. I decided to add some ribbon with a button and twine.

Hi everyone! This is the flower wreath that I've been working on the past few days. My upline posted a home decor challenge and I wanted to make a new wreath for my front door so her challenge was the perfect motivation I needed. My wreath is 16" round so it's a nice size wreath.

I guess you could say this was a labor of love.....LOL I made the flowers as I was watching TV and it actually went pretty quickly. The more you make them the faster it goes. There are 80 flowers on my wreath and I only used three punches to make them so you don't need a lot of supplies to make these flowers. I used the Fancy Flower Punch, Blossom Punch, and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punches. I have a short video posted below showing how I made the flowers. The photos below show you how I made my wreath.

This photo above is how I made my wreath base. You could buy one in the store, but I consider myself thrifty and I decided to make one out of card board. All you need is a large card board box and look around to find two things that are circle shape and trace them onto the card board. I used a large circle toy tub my kids have their toys in and for the inside I used a large tupperware container. Once your circles are traced simply cut them out. Here I cut out 2 circle card board pieces and I glued them together to make the card board sturdier. At this point you will want to add some twine or something that you can tie around your wreath base that you will use to hang your wreath with.

I forgot to mention the size of my cardboard base and I wanted to come back and upate my post. My wreath base measuers 16" across from the outside edges. The inside circle measures 11" across and my wreath is 2 1/2" wide.

This photo (above) I took 2 sheets of card stock and and cut them it into 3 strips (longways) and I crumpled it up and glued it onto my wreath base. I didn't want my flowers to lay flat on my wreath base so I decided to create a raised area using card stock. Then I could glue my flowers on the card stock and they wouldn't lay flat. It worked like a charm!

And above is a photo of the crumpled up card stock glued all around my wreath base. You don't have to do this and you could skip this step if you wanted. You could probably buy a rounded shape wreath, but I was working with what I had in the house and honestly, it turned out great.

Here is a picture of my flowers. I ended up having to make a few more though. I have 80 total flowers on my wreath. Be sure to check out my video below to see how I made them.
Here's a picture of my wreath when I was almost finished gluing the flowers on. I used my hot glue gun to glue on all of the flowers. I found it easiest to first figure out about where I wanted to flowers placed and then I filled in with the smaller flowers.

I've been busy making some wedding invitation samples for a bride. Her wedding colors are hot pink and black and she wanted me to create something with a budget in mind. So far I made up these samples for her. I think I like the first sample invites better, but I made the second set to show her something that would be less expensive to mail and less expensive to make.

To create this set of invites I first stamped the flower image using black ink and I stamped it all over onto a white sheet of card stock. Then I cut up that sheet and I used it as my designer series paper. I used my scallop border punch to punch along the bottom of the response card and I stamped the wedding day sentiment using melon mambo ink. The wedding day stamp is from the all year cheer stamp set and I cut off the word happy so it was easier to stamp.

On the invitation I did the same thing using the stamped card stock as my designer series paper and on this card I added some hot pink ribbon and the bride & groom's names above it. Since this was just a sample card I used mine and my husband's names. I first stamped the four frames image, punched it out, and then layered the ovals. The names were computer generated.

Cards #10 & #11 out of 100 towards my goal of 100 cards in 100 days

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Four Frames, All Year Cheer III
Card Stock: White, Black, Melon Mambo
Ink: Black, Melon Mambo
Supplies: Scallop Border Punch, Ribbon, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch

I decided to make these as a sample because they were easy to make, perfect for mailing, and inexpensive for a bride on a budget. I really like this embossing folder since it's not completely covered with a design and it leaves room to stamp a sentiment. I used the forever & always stamp from the loving thoughts stamp set and it's just perfect for her wedding invitation. I had to use my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the forever & always sentiment because I wanted to make sure it was stamped just right in-between the embossing.

To create the response card I used the same embossing folder and I left the bottom portion unembossed which left me some room to stamp the wedding day greeting. Just at the bottom of the embossing I used my simply score tool to create two embossed lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back later with an Easter card!
I made two cards for this week's ABC blog challenge and this week's challenge is an easy one. Simply create a card using flowers. Your flowers could be your stamped image, designer series paper, embellishment, etc. With today being the first day of spring I enjoyed making these cards and using some flowers!

I began making this card by stamping my image and I stamped it off first and then I stamped it onto my card stock. I wanted the image to be lighter so that I could stamp my sentiment over it. Once I had my image stamped I cut it out using my oval framelits and I cut an oval black layer for behind it.

My background was dry embossed using my honeycomb embossing folder and I decided to dig through my scraps for some dsp to use as banners and I found some from a retired 6x6 paper stack. I cut them into strips and using my 1" corner punch I notched off the ends. Then I assembled my card and I added some basic pearls on my flower layer for my embellishment.

Card #8 out of 100 towards my goal of 100 cards in 100 days.

Stamps: Love & Sympathy, Field Flowers
Card Stock: White, Black, Sahara Sand, SU Paper Stack DSP (retired)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Black Stazon
Supplies: Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Oval Collection Framelits, 1" Square Punch, Basic Pearls
Technique: 2 Step Stampin', Dry Embossing

Here's another flower card I made. I just stamped the flower stem using old olive ink and then I stamped the flowers using daffodil delight and so saffron ink. My sentiment was stamped using early espresso and then I added my ribbon and assembled my card, quick and easy.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will come over and play along this week with us at ABC Challenges!
I made two cards today for the ABC Blog challenge which is 'Up in the Air' and we were to create cards which include something that you would find in the air. Come on over and play along with us!

I love this new Sale-a-bration stamp set and I wanted to use it again with the bird image for the challenge. I stamped the flowers and cut them out and then I stamped six daffodil delight flowers and punched out the centers using the four petal flower punch from the itty bitty shapes punch pack and placed the centers on the flowers.

I dry embossed just the lower portion of my card base and just above my dry embossing I used my score board and added a score line and I used that line as a guide to place my flowers on. That way I knew my flowers would be straight across my card. To finish my card I placed the bird on my base using dimensionals and I added a small black dot for the eye. Lastly, I added my ribbon and stamped my sentiment.
Here's another card I made for the ABC Blog Challenge. You can create any card with something that is 'In the Air' and I decided to play around with my up, up & away stamp set. I sometimes find this set hard to use, but for some reason today this card just fell right into place. I really think the cloudy day embossing folder is perfect for this set!

I first cut out the oval using the oval collection framelits and then I dry embossed it using my cloudy day embossing folder. Next, I stamped the balloons and cut them out and placed them onto my oval. The bottom portion of my card has designer series paper with a small strip of daffodil delight card stock along the top. The daffodil delight card stock was punched along the top using my scallop border punch.

I added my island indigo ribbon along the dsp and placed it onto my card. The dry embossed oval with the balloons has dimensionals under it. To complete my card I stamped the sentiment towards the right hand side and I stamped some birds using island indigo ink.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked both of my cards today!
This is the last of the four cards I made this month for the Splitcoast Creative Crew challenge this month. This challenge was the catalog focus and I decided to use the elements of style stamp set.

The flower was stamped and colored using my SU markers and then I cut it out using my oval collection framelits and I added some sponging. The background of my card was dry embossed using the perfect polka dots embossing folder and it's layered using in color designer series paper and then I added a ribbon, my layered sentiment and three basic pearls.

That's about it for this card, it was fairly easy to make and I spent the most time on coloring the flower image. The bloomin marvelous sentiment is from the new SAB bloomin marvelous stamp set.

Card #5 out of 100 towards my goal of 100 cards in 100 days.

Stamps: Elements of Style, Bloomin Marvelous
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, White, Primrose Petals, In Color Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink: Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip

This is another card I made for the creative crew challenges on splitcoast stampers. This challenge was to use a quote from a Stampin 'Up! stamp set as the main focus on our cards. I always loved this quote from the retired 'Live Your Dream' stamp set and I think it's just perfect for graduation cards. Speaking of graduation, my oldest daughter will be graduation high school shortly and this is the card I made for her. I used her school colors which are: white, red, and black.

My real red background was stamped in the lower right hand corner using the flourish stamp from the Flowering Flourishes stamp. Next, I placed the three banners towards the left side of my card. I used my 1" square punch to punch out the banner end. Then I stamped the quote and it was cut out using the apothecary accents framelits and I added some paper piercing along the edges using the essentials paper piercing pack. My quote layer was applied onto my card using dimensionals.

To finish off my graduation card I added a black button with a twine bow tied through the center and on the left side I added a small diploma. To make the diploma I simply rolled up (tightly) a small strip of card stock and tied it off with some twine. I placed the diploma onto my card using glue dots.

Now, I need to get started on making her graduation party invitations. I'm still undecided on how I want to make those, but this card I made gives me something to work with. Have a great day everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!

Here's a quick and easy birthday card I recently made. I love this Stipple Blossoms stamp set! Simply ink up the stamps and stamp away. It doesn't get any easier than that!

Here are the color ink pads I used:

Large flower: pool party and island indigo
Small flower: so saffron and more mustard
Leaves: lucky limeade (I only used 1 color for the leaves, but I stamped off a little to create a lighter color)

Do you have a card you created today? Feel free to enter it into our ABC Blog Challenge this week for an Anything Goes challenge! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone! Here's another card I made for the creative crew challenges on splitcoast stampers. The creative crew challenge I made my card for was to use the Daydream Medallions stamp set. I also made this card for this week's ABC challenges which is an anything goes challenge. Come play along with us!

I stamped the images and cut them out using the floral frames framelits. I layered them using dimensionals and I finished off my flower using a button tied with a twine bow and my sentiment which was stamped and punched out using my jewelry tag punch.

My background is dry embossed using my fancy fan embossing folder and I punched the sahara sand layer using my scallop border punch. And that's about it for my card; the rest of it was just a matter of putting it all together. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good morning! As some of you know I've been sick again which is why I haven't been around much lately. I just can't shake this winter cold this year. I get better and then I'm sick again, UGH! I'm soooo ready for spring to arrive! And with spring in mind I decided to make a card with some flowers on it. I made this card for my ABC challenge blog and this month's Splitcoast Creative Crew challenges.

The Splitcoast Creative Crew challenge that I made this card for was the DSP/Color Focus. We were to use the colors found in the Fan Fair dsp which also includes island indigo and we were to use island indigo. I used the colors: Sahara Sand, Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, and Island Indigo.

This week's ABC challenge is a sketch challenge. We didn't get many players this week so if you have time and want to play along we'd love to have you join us. The challenge is open for another 24 hours. Below is our sketch challenge. Feel free to slightly modify, flip, or turn the sketch to fit your card. Before I forget I wanted to mention that Our ABC Challenge blog can now be found on Facebook as well as Pinterest.

I used the lacy brocade embossing folder to dry emboss my riding hood red layer. To create the white background for my flowers I die cut a large flower using the floral frames framelits then I dry embossed it using my square lattice embossing folder. Remember, you'll always want to cut first and then emboss.

Next, I stamped all of my images and cut them out using scissors and I placed them onto my white dry embossed flower using tombow multi glue (or you could use glue dots). Regular adhesive usually isn't strong enough to stick to dry embossing.

Then to finish my card I added the sahara sand card stock with ribbon and white punched border and my sentiment. My sentiment was stamped, punched out, layered using my circle and scallop circle punches and then I did some paper piercing just along the edge on the sahara sand card stock. I used the essentials paper piercing pack for the paper piercing.

Sorry for such a long post today. I'm starting the 100 cards in 100 days challenge again. Today is card #1 out of 100 towards my goal of 100 cards in 100 days! I remember how fun this challenge was before so I thought I'd challenge myself to do it again.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone! I'm sorry for posting this so late, but I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. My family and I had a nice Valentine's Day. I made this card for our ABC challenge blog and this week is a color challenge using the colors: real red, pretty in pink, and white or vanilla. If you have time come on over to our challenge blog and we'd love to have you follow us. We've been trying really hard at making our challenges a success and we could use some help.

I began making my card by dry embossing the background with the perfect polka dots embossing folder and then I assembled my card using the dsp and the card stock banners. I used my 1" square punch to notch out the banners. My sentiment was stamped using real red ink and pretty in pink ink and then using the large oval punch I punched out the center of the red image and I placed the real red image on top of the pretty in pink sentiment layer. My sentiment has dimensionals under it.

My two heart images were just stamped and cut out by hand and I used glue to adhere them to my card. Sometimes regular adhesive isn't strong enough to hold layers onto dry embossed card stock so I used tombow multi glue just to be safe and make sure the hearts would hold.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to my new followers. I'm almost near my goal of 300 followers, yippee! Have a great rest of the evening and I'll be back tomorrow!
Today I was making some last minute Valentine's Day cards and I wanted to show you one that I made in just a matter of minutes. Yep, this card took me about a total of 10 minutes to make from start to finish. I also wanted to show a Valentine's Day card that was created using non-traditional Valentine stamps.

I also made this card for my ABC Challenge blog and this week is a color challenge using the colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and White or Vanilla. I decided to go with white. Below is the color challenge for this week's challenge. If you have time come play along with us. The design team members have been working hard at our challenges and we'd love to have you join us. If anyone could help spread the word about our challenge blog I would really appreciate it :)

I used a current Stampin' Up! stamp set called Stipple Blossoms and this set is a two step stampin set. I began my stamping by taking the more solid flower images and stamping them using pretty in pink ink. Then I stamped the more open/filler stamps using real red ink. Next I just added a few leaves, again using the more solid leaf images and a lighter green ink, certainly celery ink and the open/filler leaf images were stamped using wild wasabi ink.

The flower stamping was really quick and easy, especially if you are using a clear mount set like I did because you can see where you are stamping a little better than if you were using a wood mount set. I never thought I'd say that since I'm such a wood mount type of gal, but I'm learning to love my clear mount stamps more and more.

To complete my card, I added my sentiment in the upper right hand corner and I added a small strip of designer series paper towards the bottom of my card. I then added some real red ribbon along the top of my card and I tied a small piece of twine over the knot of my ribbon.

I hope you liked my Valentine card. I have another Valentine card I made and I'll post that one tomorrow so be sure to stop on by! Have a great rest of the day!

Well, it's starting to snow here already and I certainly hope we aren't going to get as much snow as they are calling for. I'm just about finished with winter and sooooo ready for spring!

This is the last of the cards I made for this month's Splitcoast Creative Crew challenges. I made this card for the color challenge to use the colors: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, & Sahara Sand. Come join us and play along with the Creative Crew Challenges!

I used the same designer series paper (just different colors) for each of the pinwheels. The pinwheels were so easy to make using the new pinwheel sizzlits die. I ran the die through my big shot and removed the paper and folded each corner towards the center and I used a brad to hold it all together. The die even cuts the little holes for you so there's no hole punch needed.

Just below the ribbon I added two rows of dry embossing using my simply score tool and below that I added the row of v's using the new simply scored borders scoring plate.

My sentiment is from the new Wishes Your Way stamp set from the new spring catalog and the sentiments are a perfect match for this pinwheel die.

I hope you have a great weekend and for those of you, who are in the path of this snow storm here in the North East, stay safe! Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning! I love this new Secret Garden stamp set and coordinating framelits from the Spring Catalog! I made this card using the color challenge from the Splitcoast Stampers Creative Crew challenge. The colors we were to use were: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, & Sahara Sand. Come join us and play along with the Creative Crew Challenges!

I stamped the flowers and cut them out using the coordinating framelits. Some of the flower centers were made my stamping the flowers again and punching out the centers using a punch from the itty bitty shapes punch pack and then I placed the centers on top of the flowers.

My honeycomb oval background was made by first cutting out an oval shape and I used the oval collection framelits for that and then I dry embossed the oval using the honeycomb embossing folder. Remember, cut first and emboss second!

Then I placed my background onto my card and I began arranging my flowers. Some of the flowers were placed onto my card using glue dots and some have dimensionals underneath them. I even have some dimensionals stacked to raise up some of the flowers even more.

Once my flowers were arranged on my card I added my sentiment. My sentiment is from the current SAB set, Bloomin' Marvelous. It's stamped and layered using oval punches and I have dimensionals under my oval sentiment. Then I decided it would be neat to place a small pearl at each of the hexagon corners as well as inside the center of the hexagons. This is a great way to use up those really tiny pearls. I did this step last so that I wouldn't end up wasting pearls and placing them where you wouldn't see them.

I want to give a special thank you to all of my new followers, you are the reason I keep blogging! I love sharing my cards with you! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning! I couldn't wait to get the new whale items from the spring catalog! I love this stamp set with the matching clearlits die. I made this card for the current Creative Crew Challenges on Splitcoast stampers. This challenge was to create a Valentine's Day card. We'd love to have you play along with us!

My background is embossed with the new cloudy day embossing folder and to make the whales I stamped the polka dot whale and he's cut out using the clearlits die. The second whale was cut out using the clearlits die and then I ran the whale through my big shot using my fancy fan embossing folder. I added the eye using my white gel pen and I also tied some white twine around the tail.

The two little fishy are also from the same clearlit die. The hearts were stamped using the Oh, Whale stamp set and I cut them out and placed them above the whale. I stamped the hearts again and I cut out a small heart and place it over the 'o' in the Whale y'o'u be mine sentiment.

I hope you like my whale valentine card! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Good morning! I've been busy making some Valentine's Day cards and this is one of the cards I made for the Creative Crew challenge on Splitcoast stampers. My card actually fits 2 of the Creative Crew challenges this month, to use a doily and to create a Valentine's Day card.

I also made this card for the inspiration challenge for our ABC blog challenge this week and that challenge is an inspiration challenge using the theme of candy hearts. Your inspiration could include fun or mushy sentiment, pastel colors, little hearts or whatever else you think of when you think of Candy Hearts. I went with the heart theme for my Valentine's Day card.

My background is dry embossed using the perfect polka dots embossing folder. I have four banners placed towards the left side of my card. I used my 1" square punch to notch out the V part of the banner. It's so much easier to notch out the end using the square punch.

To create the red heart I punched out the heart using the full heart punch and real read card stock. Then I used the same full heart punch and I punched out the heart shape using a doily I had cut out from the Paper Doily Sizzlits. It's hard to see in my photo so I wanted to point out that I added some glitter on the punched doily heart.

I hope you like my Valentine card and we'd love to have you play along with the Creative Crew at Splitcoast Stampers and over at the ABC Challenge blog! Hi everyone! I had an awful cold and then I got better and now it's back again so I haven't been feeling well enough to post any cards last week. I still have a cough that just won't go away, but everyday I'm getting better. Hopefully I'll be posting more this week.

Today's card I made for this week's ABC blog challenge. Since it's my birthday this week, and my husband's birthday, and my little girl's birthday, I thought it would be nice to have a birthday challenge. So this week at ABC challenges we are making birthday cards. You can create any birthday card you would like so come on over and enter your card, we'd love to visit your blog!
My card was fairly easy to make. I stamped the birthday banner along the top using rich razzleberry ink and the banner didn't quite reach all the way to the end of the card stock so I simply used my rich razzleberry marker to draw in the rest of the banner. I added the cut out balloon on top of where the stamped image ended to hide where I began to draw in the banner.

For my main balloon image, I stamped the balloon strings using rich razzleberry ink and then I stamped the image again, but the second time I colored it using my SU markers. I wanted to balloons to be different colors and using markers is the easiest way to do that. Then I stamped the balloons again using my markers and I cut them out and placed a dimensional under each to to pop them up. I also stamped a few more balloons to add onto my card and then I took a small piece of twine to create a bow and I place the bows on a few of the balloons using a glue dot.

The technique I used on the balloons in my image is called spotlighting. And if you're not sure what that technique is here is a tutorial I found on splitcoast stampers. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great evening!
It's Monday and time for another challenge over at ABC challenges. This week is our very first inspiration challenge based on the photo below. I love this photo; it's so pretty with the snow on the trees and the red cardinal. There are so many possibilities with this inspiration photo so I hope you will take a few minutes and play along with us. We'd love to visit your blogs!

I decided to create a Valentine's Day card with a touch of red. My background is dry embossed using the Chevron and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders. Then I ran my white card base through my big shot using the Chevron folder and I only partly inserted it as to only emboss the bottom half. Then I turned my card base around and embossed the top half using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Once my embossing was complete I added two rows of dry embossing in the middle (between both embossed areas) using my simply score board. I usually add the score lines to help define and separate embossed areas. Then I added my red ribbon and place my card base onto my card. In case you're wondering why I sometimes layer a white card base onto a white card, I usually do that because I don't like being able to see the ribbon from the inside and the double embossing is so much easier when you're working with a card front rather than the entire card.

Next, I cut out a scallop envelope using the scallop envelope die and I folded it and taped it together. I left the top part of the envelope open so that I could stick some hearts partially inside it. The envelope was placed on my card using dimensionals.

I began cutting out some red and white hearts using Hearts Embosslit and would you believe this is the first time I'm using this embosslit? Yep, I never used it before, but I really like and I'm glad I ordered it! Then I just began randomly placing the hearts on my envelope. I have some layered and I used glue dots and dimensionals to adhere them. Lastly, I stamped my valentine sentiment. Here's a close up photo of the envelope with the hearts.

I hope you liked the card I made today! I'm happy with the way all the hearts turned out. The embosslit is so quick and easy to use since it embosses and cuts all at the same time. *Here's a tip*- If you don't have this embosslit you could punch out some hearts and then embossing them using some embossing folders. It's a little more work, but you'll get the same results.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! I'm off to get my housework started!

Good Morning! I needed to make some baby cards. I have to catch up on my stash of birthday and baby cards. When I bought this stamp I thought it would make really cute baby cards and since I spent so much time coloring I tried to keep the rest of my card simple.

I stamped the image using black stazon ink and then I colored it using SU markers. I added some twine and a clip with a piece of ribbon tied on it for my embellishments.

Stamps: Two By Two
Card Stock: So Saffron, White, Subtles- designer series paper stack for the baja breeze dsp
Ink: Black Stazon
Supplies: Ribbon, Twine, Swirl Clip, SU Markers, Dimensionals, Coluzzle- for cutting out circle of image

Here's another baby card I made using the same image. Actually I almost always stamp 2 images when I am coloring them in case I make a mistake with one and it just so happens that my coloring went pretty well this time so I ended up with an extra image and I didn't want it to go to waste and so I decided to make another card.

This one is pretty simple as well. I colored in the image using my SU markers and I colored this image a little differently. The background on this card is dry embossed using the perfect polka dots embossing folder.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop on by. I am feeling better and hopefully I'll be back to my normal stamping and blogging routine next week. Have a great weekend!
I haven't been posting in a few days. I seem to have lost my mojo and my family and I have been sick. I'm slowly starting to feel better and I wanted to make a card for this week's ABC blog challenge. This week we are making Clean & Simple cards and as many of you know CAS cards are my very favorite. There's still time to play along.

I colored the stamp using my SU markers and then I stamped the image onto my white card stock. Once that was finished I simply added a few score lines (leaving some room in the middle for my ribbon) and then I added my ribbon. Super quick and easy!

I hope you like my card! Thanks for stopping by! If any of you would be willing to help us spread the word about our ne challenge blog I would greatly appreciate!
