Hi everyone! Today I'm posting the card that I made for the monthly challenge of the blog group that I belong to. This month's challenge was to create a Valentine card using hearts. Our blog group recently started weekly challenges and this week's challenge was to use polka dots so I decided to combine both challenges and the polka dots I used are on my designer series paper.

I used a current Sale-a-bration stamp set called sprinkled expressions and I just stamped the heart and punched it out using my circle punch. The black layer behind my heart is actually the blossom flower punch that I punched twice and then I placed them on top of each other so that they looked like a larger scallop circle.

My dry embossed heart layer I made using the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders- heart folder found in the current Stampin' Up! mini catalog. These strip embossing folders are great for embossing a smaller portion for your projects.

Other than that finishing my card was just a matter of assembling it. I decided to use a mini clothespin with a small piece of red and white twine tied around it and then I added a ribbon tied with a knot.

Starting June 1, 2012, Stampin' Up! will release one annual catalog, comparable to (but smaller than) the current Idea Book & Catalog, and two seasonal catalogs, comparable to (but larger than) the current mini catalogs. Here are the details:

Annual Catalog-
- The annual catalog will run from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013.
- The annual catalog will be reduced from over 240 pages in the current Idea Book & Catalog to 208 pages.
- The annual catalog will be printed on lighter-weight paper.
- Celebrando Creatividad will remain unchanged.

Seasonal Catalogs-
- The Occasions, Summer, and Holiday Mini Catalogs will be replaced by two seasonal catalogs called the Holiday Catalog and the Spring Catalog.
- The first Holiday Catalog will run from August 1, 2012 through the beginning of January, 2013
- The first Spring Catalog will run from the beginning of January, 2013 through May 31, 2013.

Hi everyone! Last night I finally got some time to try out my new clear mount stamp sets and I ended up making this birthday card. I need to rebuild my stash of birthday cards. It seems as though I send out a lot of birthday cards in the beginning of the year.

I haven't been doing much coloring lately on my cards and so I decided to pick an image to use that needed some coloring. I love coloring with my SU markers and this is one of my very favorite color combinations.

I started making my card by first stamping and coloring my image. Then I cut my image out along the dotted line (using my scissors) and this way I was able to layer it on the pretty in pink card stock that I cut out using the same size framelit. I used the next size up framelit to cut out the bashful blue layer then I ran my bashful blue layer through my big shot using the perfect polka dots embossing folder.

Then I just needed to assemble my card. My designer series papers are from the Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack - Subtles Collection. I added some pretty in pink ribbon that I ruffled/scrunched by placing some sticky tape along my card and then folding the ribbon back and forth until I got the ruffled look I wanted. This is a really neat way to use ribbon differently on any card. I found that making ruffled ribbon workds best with a satin/silky ribbon.

And the last few items I decided to add onto my card was a mini clothespin with a small piece of twine tied around it and then three basic pearls towards the bottom of my image panel. I used one medium pearl and two smaller pearls on both sides of it.

Hi everyone! Today I have a bit of a different sort of post for you. I didn't have chance to create a project for you this weekend since 2 of my 3 kiddos were sick and hubby as well (they are all better now), but anyway I wanted to take a day to post some pictures of Stampin' Up's! clear block system.

As many of you know I only use wood mounted stamps (I swore I would only use wood mount stamps), but with my last Stampin' Up! order I decided to give clear mount stamps a try and so I purchased the clear mount block bundle (item # 118491 $69.95). The bundle includes all of the clear block sizes. *Note* you'll save $9.25 if you order the bundle rather than ordering them all separately. I also ordered the clear block storage caddy item # 120279 $16.95 and I'm going to show you some photos of that as well.

This is a photo of the clear block bundle. In this photo I've already removed the blocks from the packaging, but here I wanted to show you that they will arrive packaged separately. These are blocks A-I.

This is a photo of the clear block storage caddy (closed). The case opens flat for easy access and when you're finished it closes and locks to hold your blocks in place.

This is a photo of the clear block storage caddy opened. You will notice that Stampin' Up! gives you an additional foam insert to sit between the blocks and protect them when the caddy is closed.

If you look closely at my photo you will see foam inserts that you will need to remove before you can place your blocks inside. The foam blocks simply pop out. I've already popped one out in this photo below to show you what I am talking about.

Before I move onto the next photo I wanted to take a minute to show you a close up of one of the Stampin' Up! clear mount blocks. I was very surprised when I received my blocks because they are awesome. I've had blocks from other companies and by far these are the best! There are nicely curved grooves on all four sides and they are really, very sturdy! Hmmm...I'm beginning to like the clear mount option already!

And below is a photo of the clear block caddy with all the foam inserts popped out and all my clear blocks in place. You'll notice the additional foam insert at the top left side of my photo.

Here I've placed the foam insert inside the case and now it's ready to close up and put away. You'll want to make sure to use this foam insert to protect your blocks when the case is closed.

Here's another photo of the clear block caddy closed and locked. To lock the caddy all you need to do is to simply flip over the little clip. As you can see there is a handle for easy carrying.

There are 2 reasons I've decided to give the clear mount system a try. One is that storage is starting to become an issue and as many of you know the clear mount stamps take up a lot less room, but the main reason I've decided to give the clear mount stamps a try is to save money! If you were to purchase these stamp sets (in my photo below) with the wood mount option they would cost $116.80 and with the clear mount option they only cost $92.80 - that's a savings of $24 with just 4 stamp sets, can you believe it?!!

These are the stamps that I recently purchased (they are all from the current occasions mini catalog- there is a link to the catty on the right hand side of my blog if you wanted to check it out). And since I'm new to using clear mount stamps I've decided to go head and show you how to mount them.

This is a photo of 1 stamp set, but it's a large set so it came in two separate cases. This is the new Apothecary Art stamp set clear mount item #125527 $27.95 found in the new occasions mini catalog. It's hard to see in this photo, but I wanted to point out that the rubber is die cut for you so that you do not need to cut/trim around the image.

Simply pop the image out of the rubber sheet and peel off the backing. Now, some people are using these stamps just like this and some are placing the stickers over the foam. Personally, I think I'll like being able to see the image so I'm going to go ahead and place the sticker over the foam.

Next, you will need to remove the sticker from the sticker index sheet. Slowly peel the sticker from the sheet and then you will need to remove the sticker backing on the image- see my next photo below.

This is a photo of me removing the sticker backing. You will see that the sticker backing is in two pieces- carefully remove each half.....(see next photo below)

...and then place the sticker on top of the foam/back side of the rubber stamp. You'll want to first make sure that your sticker label and the stamp image will be applied in the correct direction. In other words, your image label and stamp image should match.

Here is a photo of the stamp on a clear mount block. I wanted to take a minute to explain that although I know it can be a bit confusing, but Stampin' Up! refers to their unmounted stamps as 'clear mount' and I just wanted to explain (for those of you who are not aware) that Stampin' Up's! clear mount stamps are not clear. The stamps are the same high quality red rubber as found in their wood mount stamps.

When you are finished mounting your stamp set you can store your unmounted stamps in the DVD sized case that came with your set. Or the way I've decided to store my stamps....(see my photo below)

...was too keep the rubber sheet that my stamps arrived in and then place my stamps back inside the die cut out opening. The rubber sheet will help keep my stamps in place and I won't have to worry about losing any.

Well that's about it for today. Once I get some stamping time I'll have to let you know how I like my new clear mount stamp sets. Hi everyone! Today I decided to check out the CAS (or clean & simple) challenge on splitcoast stampers. The challenge was to find ways to use die cuts and since I just recently received my new framelits (labels collection) from Stampin' Up! I knew I wanted to give them a try.

Everything I used to make my card is current, or will be current I should say, with the exception of the designer series paper that I purchased from the Stampin' Up! clearance rack, so if you are purchasing anything from Stampin' Up! be sure to check out those clearance rack items.

I began by first stamping my image and then cutting it out using my framelits and my big shot. I cut out a larger pretty in pink layer and then I ran that through my big shot using my finial press embossing folder. Then I colored my image using my SU markers and layered it using dimensionals. The stamp I used on my card is from the Outlined Occasions stamp set and it is a new Sale-a-bration set that won't be available until Jan. 24th (so you're getting a sneak peek).

My pink designer series paper layer was punched along the bottom using my label punch. Simply place your dsp only about 1/4" into the punch and punch away. Move your punch over along the edge of your paper and punch again while trying to keep them lined up- it's really very easy.

My red designer series paper was scored every 1/4" using my simply score tool and then I folded the paper back and forth. I used my paper piercing tool to place mini glue dots where the folds of my dsp meets my card base.

To adhere my sentiment layer onto my accordion folded dsp I used mini glue dots and placed them where the folds of the paper meet my pretty in pink layer. Using a paper piercing tool comes in real handy for this because once you touch the glue dots they aren't as sticky.

The top part of my pretty in pink layer was adhered using stacked dimensionals. I'll see if I can get a photo of this so that you know what I am talking about. Here's a photo of my stacked dimensionals-

To complete my card I added a mini clothespin with a small piece of twine tied around it- what a cute way to embellish a card. Twine seems to be the new 'in' embellishment now.

Hi everyone! I made this card for the monthly challenges in my blog group. I wasn't able to post it earlier because I haven't been feeling well. It seems that I always get that one bad sickness every winter. Anyway, I used a new Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration stamp set to make my card. The set is called Fresh Vintage.

The challenge this month was 'newness' to create a card using something new, for a new occasion, and using a technique that is new to us.  I did a little more stamping on this card than I usually do and that is something fairly new to me, my stamp set is new and, I'm using this card towards my new year's resolution to send out more cards to my stamping friends.

I began by stamping my background using early espresso ink and the small flower stamp. I stamped the rich razzleberry card stock using rich razzleberry ink- I like the tone on tone effect it gives. Then I stamped my main image three times. Once using early espresso ink, once using rich razzleberry ink and one more time using pretty in pink ink.  I did this because I wanted to cut out the pink and razzleberry flowers and place them over my main espresso image.

Next, I did a bit of faux stitching using my SU mat pack, paper piercing tool, and a white gel pen. My flower image panel was placed on my card using dimensionals.  My ribbon is SU pretty in pink ribbon.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We had some family come visit us and then I had dinner at my house on Christmas Eve. I spent the past 2 days trying to get my house back in order and I'm just about ready to put away my Christmas tree for this year. I had a few things I wanted to share with you. I'll be back in the new year again posting projects and cards like I usually do. I recently purchased the new Stampin' Up! designer rosette die and I can't wait to try it out.

Well, now that Christmas is only 1 1/2 weeks away I'm sure you are finishing up your last minute decorating, wrapping, shopping, baking, and perhaps even you're like me you still haven't mailed your Christmas cards. My snow swirled card was a case of this card here that I came across on splitcoast stampers. I eliminated a layer, did a little bit less stamping, and I changed the colors and since purple is my favorite color I decided to make a purple holiday card. I did add 3 rhinestone gems in the center of the larger snowflakes, but you could even eliminate those if you wanted. This is a super easy card, just cut your card stock and begin stamp away.

This next card was also a case of a card I saw somewhere, but I can't seem to find it again to link it here for you. If I find it I will come back and update this post.

Now, this card is a bit more work, but I'm sure you could whip up 10 or so of these in less than 1/2 hour. Simply stamp your tree image, stamp the sentiment, add your glitter and then sponge your moon. (Note- the tree and the 'season's greetings' sentiment are both on one stamp, but when I mounted this stamp I cut the sentiment apart from the tree and I mounted it on another wood block. I did this so that it would be quicker and easier for me to work with this stamp).

Sponging your moon is an easy technique. Here is a great video that shows you how to do reverse masking and I did mine the same way as Holly did in this video.

I don't have a craft post today, but I've been talking about these cupcakes on splitcoast and I wanted to post a picture of them. These are ice cream cone cupcakes that I made them for my son to give to his classmates at school. My son's birthday was yestesrday and he turned 7 years old- he's growing up so fast!

These are really easy to make and I make them almost every year. The trick to making these is not fill the cones too full. Mix your cake mix according to the directions (you do not want to use cake mix with pudding) and bake like you normally would. It's tricky getting the cones to stand up and sometimes they can make a mess however I just bought this awesome pan to bake them in and this pan was perfect for my son to take these to school. These pans are very hard to find so I thought I would share the website where I purchased it from. Kupcake Konz has excellent customer service and my pan was shipped right away.

Onto to today's card. Today I wanted to post a holiday card that you could make with only a few supplies. We all know that card making can be expensive and we all have lots of supplies and tools, but I wanted to show you (especially if you are new to card making) that yes, you can make holiday cards with only a few supplies and that aren't expensive to make.

I used one tree stamp from Stampin' Up's! Lovely as a Tree stamp set and I randomly stamped in onto my card staying towards the left hand side. I stamped off on a few of the images so that they would appear lighter. Then all I did was add my Merry Christmas greeting and add my ribbon, so cute and easy! I did want to mention that I got the idea to make this card from another stamper and her original card can be seen here.

Good Morning! Today's card is for the monthly challenge for the blog group that I belong to. If you look on my side bar you will find the links to the other ladies' blogs who are in my group. If you have time, take a moment to visit their blogs and you can see their challenge cards too. I must apologize to my blog group friends because I am late in posting my card (I'm so sorry, I totally forgot about our challenge).

Our challenge was 'the power of 3's'. We were to create a card using 3 layers, 3 images, and 3 embellishments and we were to leave the sentiment off of the front of our cards. I knew right away that I was going to try and use my new stocking punch.

Making these stockings using the stocking punch is a great way to use up some of your designer series paper scraps. On my card I used some paper scraps from the Stampin' Up! holly berry bouquet designer series paper. I used the new silver glimmer paper for the tops and the toe part of the stocking and the rest of my card was made using real red and very vanilla card stock.

The stockings were easy to put together and I placed them on my card using dimensionals. My background is dry embossed using my big shot and my perfect polka dots embossing folder. I used a glue dot to hold on my bells.

My 2 year old daughter just told me that she liked the socks on my card, how cute! Well, that's about it for today. Good Morning! Today I'm planning on finishing my holiday decorating, but before I do I wanted to post another card that we made at my cookie party. Today's card is almost an exact case from the Stampin' Up! idea book & catalog. In fact this card is the reason I bought this stamp set. I saw the sample card and I figured it would be an easy, quick holiday card and if you leave the ribbon off it would be perfect for the holiday cards you intended to mail.

My red riding hood card base is stamped using red riding hood ink. It's tone on tone ink and card stock so it's hard to see in my photo, but when I was making my card I felt that the background needed a little something.

I used the Stampin' Up! top note die to cut my vanilla card stock for the inside and outside of my card. I even stamped the bottom right corner on the inside of my card (as you can see in the photo above). Stamping the inside of my cards isn't something I usually do, but I like the way it turned out on this card.

Then to complete my card I simply stamped my images using old olive ink in the two corners and stamped my season's greetings sentiment using red riding hood ink. Next, I added my ribbon and placed my top note layer onto my card base using dimensionals and that was it!

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for being patient with me this past week. I spent the entire week last week getting ready for a cookie exchange party at my house yesterday. My party went very well and I thing everyone had a great time plus we had an opportunity to try some great new cookies and exchange recipes. Thank you to those of you who came to my first cookie exchange! I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

After we ate some food and had some cookies I planned for everyone to make a few holiday cards and the card I am posting today is one of the cards we made. Since it was a larger group I had the snowman hats made ahead of time and I had everything else punched out for everyone.

The snow along the bottom of my card was made using the paper tearing technique and then I added some glitter along the torn portion of the card stock.

The snowman was made using several circle punches. The eyes and mouth I just drew in using my SU black marker. The nose is just a small triangle cut from some orange scrap paper. The arms are 2 portions cut from the snowflake punch.

To create the hat I punched out a black 1" square and then I punched out some black card stock using my word window punch. I then took the card stock from the word window I punched it again. I slipped it back into the word window punch to punch it again making it shorter. The leaf in the snowman hat was from the leafy branch of the bird builder punch and then the holly berry was simply a 1/4" circle punch using real red card stock.

I waited until my card was finished until I made my background. After my snowman was glued on I stamped my sentiment using white craft in and then using my white gel pen I placed dots on my background for the snowflakes.

Good Morning! Last night I sat at my computer to post this card and next thing I knew I fell asleep. When I woke up I figured it was time for bed and I would post this tomorrow, so here I am!

I came across this card created by peebsmamma on splitcoast stampers and I wanted to case her card, but I didn't have the stamp set she used. Don't you hate that when you see a card you love, but you don't have the stamps to create it? Well, as I was looking through my stamps the other day I realized that the one stamp in my watercolor trio set looks very similar to the stamp in the peaceful wishes stamp set that Susan used, and so I was off to create my card.

The sketch/layout was from a previous challenge on the clean & simple stamping blog so I used the same layout and the same colors. Basically the only thing I changed was the stamps and that I added a rhinestone jewel next to my Merry Christmas sentiment.

I first stamped my image using wild wasabi ink and then using my real red Stampin' Up! marker I added a few red dots around my stamped image.

Today I'm posting 2 cards for you. These two cards I made using my new Leaves of a Tree stamp. This is an a la carte stamp in the current holiday mini catalog and it sells for $9.95.

I stamped the tree image using chocolate chip ink and then I began to assemble my card. My old olive border was punched using my scallop border punch and then I decided to try and use up some of my ribbon scraps and I placed two small pieces of ribbon along the left side of my image panel. I wanted to try and keep my cards more on the flat side so that they would be good for sending through the mail without needing to pay for extra postage.

Now on to today's projects. I wanted to make some Christmas cards using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set just to show you how versatile this set it. Lovely as a Tree is one of my favorite sets and it's perfect for so many occasions. I've used it for sympathy, masculine, fall, and Christmas cards too! The two cards I am sharing with you today would be perfect for your holiday cards since these wouldn't require extra postage.

The first card I'm sharing with you is a case of myself. I made a card similar to this one awhile back when I was on the Clean & Simple design team on splitcoast stampers. This time when I made this card I made it even easier.

I simply stamped the tree image using chocolate chip ink and then I stamped some smaller snowflakes using night of navy ink, but I stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper first so that they would appear lighter. Then I did some sponging for my background and next, I punched out my 4 squares. When you are punching the squares to make it appear like a window you will want to try and punch as close to each square as you can.

To complete my card I layered my squares onto my night of navy card stock and and then using a scrap piece of designer series paper I punched the bottom using my scallop border punch and that completed the window look I was going for. My dsp was placed on my card using dimensionsals.

The second card I made uses the same stamp sets and card stock colors, but my card is a little different.

I used night of navy in to stamp the tree image and then I applied a nice amount of dazzling diamonds glitter over the trees using my 2 way glue pen. It's very glittery in person. My tree panel was placed onto my card using dimensionals.

My background is embossed and I created the horizontal lines by using my simply score tool and scoring my lines every 1/4" (another great use for the simply score tool). I only placed the scor lines on the upper half of my background so that the bottom half would be unembossed and I would be able to stamp my sentiment below my main tree image.

Happy Friday! My kiddos have off from school today so I have to make this short today. They are waiting for their breakfast. I recently hosted a Christmas cookie recipe swap and this is the page that I made for my swap. The cookie pages were to be designed with a holiday theme in mind.

The recipe I used is for my famous Chocolate Chip cookies. Really, everyone loves them. When I take them to bake sales they sell out fast and I have friends that wait for me to make them every year. I'll post the recipe below so that you can save it for yourself.

To make my page all I really did was to randomly stamp my background using old olive and cherry cobbler ink and then I decided to hunt for my spritzer tool and splatter my background. I really had to dig for my spritzer tool; I think it's been ages since I've used it. I used my cherry cobbler Stampin' Up! marker for my spritzing.

Then I printed my recipe from my computer and I decided not to go with the traditional black ink and so I tried picking a burgundy color ink that I thought would match. For my embellishment I used a spiral clip with a small piece of ribbon attached. That's a great way to use up some of your ribbon scraps.

That's about it for today. Just yesterday I decided to host my first cookie exchange party so I'm hoping all the new recipes from my swap will come in handy.

The best Chocolate Chip Cookies ever!

Ingredients-
4 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks of marg or butter softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 (12 ounce) packages Milk Chocolate Chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and
salt & set aside. Beat butter sugars and vanilla in mixer bowl
until creamy. Add eggs & mix well. Gradually beat in flour
mixture (I use my dough hooks when adding the flour since the
batter will become thick). Stir in morsels and nuts- (I mix in
these by hand). Drop cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet.
(They do not spread very much so you can place them close
together). Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let
cool, move to cooling rack, & let cool again. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing with you the cards I made using the leftover scraps from when I made my fall and Christmas lolllie wreaths. (I posted those wreaths the other day).

I think the spice cake and holly berry bouquet designer series papers are so pretty and I just couldn't bring myself to throw out my scraps. I ended up with some 1" strips of paper leftover and so this is what I came up with. My fall card does have one strip of dsp from a paper pack from Sale a bration 2011.

First, you will want to take a quarter sheet of card stock and cover it with adheasive. Then starting at one end lay your strips of paper on top of your card stock. You will want to try and keep the straight and line them up so that there is not any space between each strip.

Next, all you need to do is to place your designer series paper onto of your die (I used my Stampin' Up! top note die on my cards) and then run it through your big shot machine. You will want to try and line up your die with your card stock so that it's in the middle of your die. And now you are ready to assemble your card. I added my sentiment using dimensionals. It's as easy at that! I made these two cards in about 10 minutes.

Hi everyone! I'm at it again! I just can't seem to stop making these wreaths. I made 3 of each of these last week. You know when your friends and family see them they all want one! It took me about 1 1/2 hours to make each wreath (don't forget I have a little one I'm chasing so it might take you a little less time). Plus, I have found that the quickest way to make the lollies is to score first and then cut. In other words, if you are using two sided designer series paper then most likely you will be using the pattern on the other side, so cut your dsp at 3" x 12" and score every 1/4". Once you are finished with your scoring then cut your dsp in half so that now you should have 2 strips of scored dsp that measures 1 1/2" x 12". Since I was making more than one wreath using the same dsp I cut my dsp at 6" x 12"- then I scored every 1/4" and then I cut my paper into 1 1/2" x 12" strips.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I do have two size lollies on my wreaths. For the larger size I cut my dsp at 1 1/2" x 12" and for the smaller lollies I cut my dsp at 1" x 12". To make it even easier, I'll cut my strip of dsp at 2 1/2" x 12" and then score every 1/4" and then I'll cut off my 1" for the smaller lollie. This way you will not be scoring so much and you will be able to make your wreaths so much faster. I also wanted to mention that cardboard will work for the backing of your wreath. Just do like I did and find two larger round items to place on your cardboard and trace around. A dinner plate and a salad plate work perfect for this.

This is a fall wreath I made using the new designer series paper found in our current holiday mini catalog. I was able to make 3 wreaths out of one package of designer series paper and I have enough to make 1 more. I also used my paper scraps to create some fall cards. I'll post those cards tomorrow so be sure to stop and visit me tomorrow.

Happy Monday! I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for being patient with me. This past week has been real busy and I wasn't able to update like I wanted to so today I am posting early. Also, thank you to all of my new followers and don't forget that once I reach 200 followers I will be giving away a new Stampin' Up! Simply Score Tool to one of you. I saw the clean & simple challenge posted on Splitcoast stampers and I knew right away what card I was going to make. I just ordered this stamp set because I knew it would make lovely Christmas cards. If you just beginning to stamp this card is perfect for you since you wouldn't need to purchase a lot of items plus this card is so easy to make. It only took me about 5 minutes to make and if you leave off the pearls it would be perfect for mailing.

I used the Bells & Boughs stamp set to create my card. I stamped the larger poinsettia stamp in two of my corners using old olive ink and then I stamped it again just at the edge of my corners using cherry cobbler ink. My sentiment was stamped using cherry cobbler ink and then I simply added three tiny pearls. I also decided to use my cherry cobbler marker and put a few dots in the centers of the old olive poinsettis and that was it- super cute, quick, and easy.

Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing the money holder I mentioned in yesterday's post. I made several of these and they were so easy to make. I'll post the directions below:

I was only able to get one money holder out of one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock. Cut your card stock so that it measures 7 1/2" x 7 1/2". Then score your card stock at 3" and 6".

The smaller flap will be the pocket for your money and you will need to fold that flap up and tape it closed. I used Stampin' Up! sticky tape for this to ensure that it would stay closed.

The larger flap is your top par that folds over and you can decorate this part however you like. I used some Holly Berry designer series paper on the front of this money holder. Then I added some ribbon. Here's a ribbon tip- to save on some ribbon I didn't tie it all the way around my money holder. I cut off both ends of my ribbon and I taped it to the back side of my designer series paper. Then I cut a little more ribbon to tie on the front.

I used the scallop border punch along the bottom front flap and then I used my oval punches to layer my sentiment.

This is a picture of the inside of my money holder. I didn't do anything to the inside, but you could easily add some dsp. Yesterday I mentioned about how to easily add the Velcro, but I wanted to mention it again for those of you who missed it. The easiest way to add the Velcro is to place one half on the inside of your card- let's say the fuzzy half. Then take the stiffer half of the Velcro and place that onto the fuzzy part then remove the backing and close your card. Your Velcro will line up perfectly. Be sure when you are buying your Velcro that you are buying the kind with adhesive backing and not the kind that needs to be sewn on.

And this is a photo of the inside of my money holder with some money inside. I took this photo to show you how nicely money will fit inside.

And in this photo I wanted to show you a few other of these money holders that I made. I already had these placed in plastic bags so please forgive the -not so great photo. I made these the same way as my example listed above except that I used different dsp and the red holder doesn't have any ribbon on it.

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a gift card holder that I just made. I made several of these and they were quick and real easy to make. I'll list the directions below for you:

---You can get 2 of these holders out of 1 sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock. Cut your card stock so that it measures 4 1/4" x 7 1/2"

-- Then score your card stock along the short side (or across not long ways) at 2 1/2" and 5 1/2". Fold both flaps inward to create your holder. You will have enough card stock along the top to use your border punch and punch a nice decorative border like I did on mine.

--Next, you will want to tape the bottom flap (the part where the gift card will be inserted) closed. I highly recommend using sticky strip tape to close the bottom flap part of your gift card holder. You only need to use a little bit on each side. Do not tape the top of the flap closed- that's where your gift card is going to go.

--Now you are ready to decorate your holder. On the gift card holder I made I simply used a small piece of designer series paper on the front and in the inside. This would be a great opportunity to go through your scraps bin. My dsp measures 1 3/4" x 4" on the inside and on the outside I cut my dsp at 2" x 4" because I scored the bottom of my dsp and flipped the edge over, but you don't have to do that.

--The next thing I did was to stamp my sentiment. I embossed the sentiment using white craft ink and white embossing powder. You will want to make sure and do your embossing before you add your ribbon and Velcro because the heat from the heat gun can ruin them.

-- Next, I added my ribbon and my Velcro closure. The easiest way to add the Velcro is to place one half on the inside of your card- let's say the fuzzy half. Then take the stiffer half of the Velcro and place that onto the fuzzy part then remove the backing and close your card. Your Velcro will line up perfectly. Be sure when you are buying your Velcro that you are buying the kind with adhesive backing and not the kind that needs to be sewn on.

This is a photo of the inside of my gift card holder. As you can see I also added a piece of designer series paper on the inside.

And this is a photo of my gift card holder with a gift card inside. These holders are just the right size for gift cards plus I like that I kept them closed using Velcro so that I won't have to worry about the gift card falling out.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Saturday my family and I spent the day in a corn maze and picking pumpkins. It's hard to believe fall is here already and in my back yard the leaves on the trees have already changed their colors and most have fallen.

And that was sort of the inspiration for today's card that I made for the CAS (clean & simple) challenge on splitcoast stampers. Today's challenge is a sketch challenge based on this card here.

I used a technique called thumping to color in this lovely tree image. I began by using several fall SU colored markerd and then I started to color the leaves. Once the leaves were colored I began thumping over the them with the same color markers I was using. That's how I was able to create two different colors on the same leaves- it looks more realistic and fall like. Once I was finished with my thumping I used my chocolate chip marker to again color the brown tree trunk and branches. And remember to 'huff' onto the stamp before stamping it onto your card stock. This remoisted the ink. The Stampin' Up! markers I used were: old olive, more mustard, tangerine tango, cherry cobbler.

The top half of my background is embossed using my vintage wallpaper embossing folder and just under my embossed area I added two score lines. And that's about it for today's card. I hope you liked it!

Hi everyone! I haven't participated in an inspiration challenge on splitcoast stampers in so long and so today I decided to jump back in and give it a try. This week's inspiration challenge site is Liberty and I chose this as my inspiration piece.

Here is a picture of my inspiration peice (just in case the link no longer works).

As soon as I saw it I knew I could use my new snowflake die. I cut out 2 snowflakes. One was cut with pacific point card stock and the other was cut using white card stock. I stamped my white die cut snowflake using the large Christmas tree image from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Snow Swirled and then using my 1" circle punch I snipped off the ends of the snowflake so that my white snowflake would be smaller than my blue one.

For my background I embosssed only the upper 3/4" portion using my new snow bursts embossing folder and big shot machine. I usually try to leave an area unembossed if I am going to add a sentiment. This is really simple to do. when you are embossing your cardstock just leave the portion you do not want embossed outside of the embossing folder. Doing this sometimes creates an embossed ridge from the end of the folder, but I actually like that because is separates the embossed area from my sentiment area.

I added my glimmer brad in the center of my snowflakes and then I placed my snowflake on my card using glue dots. Sometimes the snail adhesive doesn't stick as well to the embossed areas and I wanted to make sure my snowflake would stick well. And then finally, I added my sentiment. I wanted to make it a point to say that I sometimes stamp with a different color ink than the card stock I am using. On this card I stamped using marina mist ink and my card stock is pacific point. I do this sometimes because the ink is just a tad darker than I wanted to be. I guess I could stamp off the ink, but this works too.

Hi everyone! I'm at it again with my lollies, but this time the lollies I made I used on little gift bags that I made. I just purchased the Big Shot Fancy Favor XL die because I thought it would make cute little gift bags and sure enough it did. I've posted several pictures and I hope you like the tutorial I've made to share with you all. And remember to make sure you enter my Simply Score Tool giveaway- click here for more details.

You can click on each of my photos to make them larger if you need to. This is a picture of the finished gift bags I made.

The first thing I did was to use the Fancy Favor die and cut out my box. If you decide to purchase this die you'll want to remember this is an extra large die and you will need to purchase the extended cutting pads (unless of course you already have them). I used one sheet of 12"x12" piece of card stock and its perfect if you cut it in half because then you can make 2 boxes. You will also need a coordinating sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock for the handle- I have more details about the handle posted below.

And here is my box after I ran it through my Big Shot machine. It's hard to see in this photo but this die will score the fold lines for you.

At this point you can go ahead and fold along your score lines. Make sure that you DO NOT fold your box along the score lines on the narrow side of the box. You will want to use those score lines when you are making a party favor or tying the box closed. Again, if you want to keep this in the shape of a box it's important that you do not score along the side score lines along the smaller sides.

If you are using any designer series paper or additional card stock to decorate your box you will need to score it so that it fits around the outside of the box. To do this I simply lined up the score folds of my box with my paper and using that as I guide I scored my paper. If the score lines from your box are in the hill part of your score board (like mine were) you will need to score your paper at the next/bigger score line- otherwise your card stock will be too small and it will not fit around your box (ask me how I know this....LOL).

Next, you can begin assembling your box. You will want to use sticky strip tape for this part because it's strong enough to hold your box together plus you want your box to stay together once you put a nice little surprise inside. You'll notice in the background of this photo that I punched along the bottom of my chocolate chip card stock using my scallop trim border punch and then I adhered my dsp and card stock together.

In this photo I just wanted to show you again to not score along the score lines on the smaller side of the box. The score lines are there, but once your box is finished you will hardly see them.

Here, you will see that I went ahead and placed my designer series paper portion of my project onto my box. And now is when you can begin to make your handle. I cut a strip of card stock measuring 11"x 1" and then I scored each end at 1".

I used my horizontal slit punch to punch out an area to place my card stock through. Once you slip your card stock through the opening, fold the scored end up and using your hole punch, punch a hole for your brad. If you don't have a slit punch you can use a word window punch, but your opening will be larger than you need (you could make your handle wider to compensate). You could also place your folded end inside your box and use a brad like I did to hold it in place.

And here is what my finished handle looks like. I did this to both sides.

Next, I placed the lollie I made onto my bag using my glue gun. I have found that the glue gun is the best adhesive when you are working with making lollies.

Once your project is complete just add some tissue paper and you're done and since I cut a 12" x 12" piece of card stock in half I was able to make 2 of these gift bags.

Well, onto my card for today. This card looks so much prettier in person. I stamped the image using versamark ink and then I dusted it with gold embossing powder and then set it with my heat gun- as easy and that and the image really doesn't need anything else. What a pretty stamp set. This is a current set and it retails for only $18.95.

The rest of my card is pretty straight forward. The bottom of my old olive card stock is punched using the eyelet border punch and then I added my ribbon.

Hi everyone! Today I have a rather long post today, but bear with me because you'll want to read it all the way to the end! Today, I'm sharing with you the wreath I made out of lollies. I just finished my wreath this morning and I took some pictures as I was assembling it so that I could post a tutorial for you. Now, I'm sure there are several different way to make these wreaths, but this is what I felt worked best for me.

This is a picture of my wreath once it was completed. I made this wreath out of paper lollies and sometimes they are referred to as paper medallions and Rosettes.

To begin you will want to cut your card stock or designer series paper. You can use 8 1/2" x 11" card stock, but you will want to cut it along the longer side. In my photo I cut my (designer series paper) dsp at 1 1/2" x 12". You really don't want to make your paper any more than 1 3/4" wider because it will be too wide and you won't be able to form the lollies. If you want to make bigger lollies you can cut 2 of the 1 3/4" x 12" pieces and then adhere them together, but I sort of feel as though using 1 piece of dsp is enough. You will begin by scoring your dsp or cardstock every 1/4" and my picture below shows what it should look like after you are finished with your scoring.

After you have your paper scored you can go ahead and fold it accordion style along the score lines. When I say accordion style, I mean fold one flap forward and the next flap you will fold back and continue this to the end of your paper. My photo below shows what your paper should look like up to this point.

Next, you will want to form a circle with your paper and place some adhesive along the last V shaped fold and make sure that you put it onto of the first V fold and connect your paper end to end to form a circle. I just used my snail adhesive for this. In the photo below I'm trying to show you how your ends should overlap. And then simply fold your paper outward so that it forms your lollie. It won't stay in place until you glue it.

Gluing your lollie- The easiest way I have found to keep the lollies together is to punch out a circle (here I used my 1 1/4" circle punch) and using a glue gun, glue the punched circle onto the back side of your lollie. You'll need to be quick with this because the glue tends to work fast. You'll want to try and get the circle in the center of the lollie, but it doesn't have to be perfect because you won't see it once your wreath is assembled.

Now you should have a finished lolllie. You can finish it off however you'd like. You can use buttons, small punched circles; I've seen small scalloped circles, flowers, all types of cute embellishments.

I spent one evening while the kids were in bed making several lollies. I found that sticking with one or two packs of dsp was best. Then you can use some plain cardstock using the colors found in the dsp you choose. Remember to check the back sides of the paper and you can use that pattern as well. Almost always the back side of the paper will match. Here is a photo of some of the other lollies I made. Some have a smaller lollie in the center, some just have a punched circle with a piece of dp inside, and some have a button tied with Stampin' Up! twine, but I guess you get the idea LOL.

I was sort of stumped on this next step until someone had given me this tip. To create the base of my wreath I used the thin cardboard found inside the pack of Stampin' Up! dsp- and what a great way to recycle too! Personally for me, I cut out 2 of these and you'll see why below.

I needed something to use as my guide for my circle. I looked around the house and I found a larger pot that I have and I placed it onto my cardboard and I traced it. Then I looked around for something just a little bit smaller and I found a lid to a tupperware dish and then I placed that in the center of my circle and I traced around it. This photo shows what you should have at this point. Now you probably could use a dinner plate and a salad plate for your guides, but that didn't work for me because my plates have scalloped edges.

Next, I cut out the center and outer edges of my cardboard so that my wreath form is what I would have left. You could go to the craft store and buy wreath forms, but they are expensive.

On the left side of my photo you can see the other lollies I made earlier. My next step was to start arranging my lollies around my wreath. I used 10 larger lollies and 5 small ones, but you can use as many as you like and any size you wanted. It's just a matter of placing them the way you like them.

And here is my wreath once I have everything placed where I would like them to be.

Remember above I mentioned that I used 2 of the cut out wreath bases? And here's why. I kept the lollies on the one base and so that I could keep the wreath they way I wanted it. Then I only moved 1 lollie at a time and using my glue gun and I glued them where I wanted them to be. This is the fun part because now you get to see all of your hard work come together.

Okay, now here is where my second wreath base is very helpful. This is a photo of the back side of my wreath and I just felt that the one wreath base wasn't sturdy enough so I went ahead and glued my second base (shown on the very left side of my photo) right on top of my first base. I did this using my glue gun and I glued it in sections. What I mean is that I placed the wreath base onto of the back side of my wreath and then I lifted it up just enough to squeeze some glue in-between. Then I would let that dry and lift up the wreath base again and squeeze some more glue in-between both of the wreath bases. I did this all the way around until the bases were glued together. I guess you could just use a sturdier base, but I liked having the second base to work from when I was arranging my lollies.

And here is a photo of the backside of my wreath.

My wreath is almost complete, but then I decided that I needed to have something to hang it with. The twine that I used worked out perfectly, but next time I think I would make the twine I cut a little longer. I used my glue gun to glue on the back side a small piece of twine. When you are doing this you will want to make sure your twine is at the top part of your wreath.

After I glued on my twine I decided to finish it off so that it would look a little nicer and I glued a small piece of the cardboard I had left over and I covered up the glue from adhering the twine.

And finally, I finished off a few of my lollies that didn't have centers on them and I added my ribbon. You could add a sentiment too if you'd like, but I decided not too. This is a picture of my wreath hanging on my wall.

Hi everyone! As I promised you the other day here is a Christmas card I made for a recent clean & simple challenge on splitcoast stampers. The challenge was to find ways to use paper piecing. I haven't used this stamp set in a long time. I have to admit I even forgot I had this set.

My tree was paper pieced by stamping the image onto the certainly celery designer series paper and cutting it out and then I added a few brads. The tree trunk was also paper pieced using chocolate chip card stock.

I very rarely use the paper tearing technique, but I thought it looked nice on this card. Simply tear the paper in one direction. You will notice that when you are tearing your paper one side will have more white showing than the other. I usually use the half that has more of the white showing.

My tree image is popped up using dimensionals and my sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Occasional Quotes stamp set.

Hi everyone! Today I'm posting a card I made awhile back, but I just realized that I didn't post it on my blog yet. I used the Pick a Petal stamp set (I was sad to see that set retire).

I made my card by first stamping and cutting out the petals. I know it's hard to see in my photo, but I used the petal stamp with the little flowers on it. Then I used my Stampin' Up! chocolate chip marker and I added a few dots throughout my stamped petals. It helps to glue your petals onto a punched out circle. It ends up behind your flower so you won't even see it. Once my flower was assembled, I poked a small hole in the center using my SU mat pack and then I was able to place my brad through the center.

My brown chocolate chip layer was punched along the bottom using my scallop trim border punch and along the top I added two rows of white dots using my white gel pen. Then to finish my card I stamped my happy birthday sentiment. This would be a great card to make if you needed something quick and you could use this for several different occasions: thinking of you, thank you cards, get well, Mother's day, etc.

Tomorrow I'll be posting a Christmas card. I'm working on getting some things together for my first upcoming craft show and so I need to start working on a few more Christmas cards.

Today I am sharing with you the last of the swap cards I made for a swap in which we were to create cards using up our paper scraps.

This is such an easy card and quick to make too. I think it took me about 25 minutes to make 6 of these cards, honest. I began by scoring two sets of two lines in the middle area of my card.

Next, I pulled out my scrap bin full of left over pieces of Stampin' Up! designer series paper and using various sizes of circle punches I began punching out some circles. The trick to finding dsp that matches is to check the back side. More often than not the reverse sides of the dsp will match and if you happen to have some scraps from the same pack of dsp you'll be good to go.

Lastly, I added my sentiment. This type of card would be great for almost any occasion. You could easily make this into a more feminine card using some flowerly type dsp and perhaps finish it off with some basic pearl or rhinestone gems.

After I had my card made I thought that I should have tied a piece of twine inside the button, but my cards are finished now, but next time I'll remember not to leave a button blank. Have a great rest of the weekend. The weather here in PA is absolutely gorgeous.

Hi everyone! Today I'm posting another swap card that I made. The cards for this particular swap were to be created using up our paper scraps.

The first thing I did when creating my card was to stamp the pink leaves. Yes, the stamped background of my card was stamped using the leaf stamp from the Bold Blossoms stamp set. I simply stamped the leaves sideways. I used my Stampin' Up! paper grid to help me align the leaf images.

Next, I scored two small score lines towards the bottom of my card. I like how the score lines sort of separate the image part of my card with the sentiment portion of my card so I do this quite often. It's just another simple, quick way to add that little bit of embellishment.

I used the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch to create the pink and so saffron portion of my flower. Then for the center of my flower I stamped the tiny flower image using chocolate chip ink and I punched it out using my 1/2" circle punch. Then in the center of my stamped chocolate stamped flower image I simply placed one basic pearl. The pink, yellow, and chocolate chip portion of my punched flower is raised up on my card using dimensionals.

And then all I needed to do to complete my card was to add my two other pearls in the center of the pink leaves and then stamp my thank you sentiment. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to help me align my sentiment. I use this tool on almost every card, I wouldn't be without one.

The card I'm posting today is one I made for a card swap that I signed up for. In this card swap we were to create cards using scraps of paper, so don't throw away those scraps, you'd be surprised at how many lovely cards you can create using them.

The bottom half of my card is embossed using my big shot and my petals a plenty embossing folder. I used my SU marker to color the centers of the flowers. I used my scallop trim border punch to punch my real red card stock along the top of my card.

My image was punched out using my large oval punch, but stamping my image was a bit tricky. I first stamped my image using my wild wasabi ink and then I stamped it again onto a scrap piece of card stock using rose red ink. The technique I used is called paper piecing and I cut out the parts of the image I wanted red - (the bird and the merry Christmas sentiment) and then I placed them over top of my stamped wild wasabi image. I used my black marker to put a dot on the cardinal for the eye. My image is placed on my card using dimensionals.

One more note about my card...I did use real red card stock, but I used rose red ink. The rose red ink just seemed to work better with this image.

Good evening everyone. Every year I make goodie bags for my son to take into school for all the kids in his class and this year I thought it might be a good idea to make a little hand stamped card and place it inside his goodie bags. I figured it couldn't hurt to help 'get my name out' so to speak.

I knew the kids would probably throw them away so I didn't want to put a whole lot of time and effort into these. I decided to make small 3x3 cards and I kept my stamping to a minimum.

I began by cutting out all of my card stock and then I ran my old olive paper through my big shot machine using my Elegant Lines embossing folder. Now this folder does not have the design on the entire front so I had to be suryand place my small strip of card stock on the embossed areas. I was able to fit 2 pieces at a time onto my embossing folder.

Then I began stamping all of my pumpkin images. With these I stamped 6 or so at a time. The stamping part was fun and it went rather quickly. I didn't get too fussy and I didn't even use my stamp-a-ma-jig. My pumpkin image is layered onto pumpkin pie card stock and that's about it. I will stamp Happy Halloween inside and have my son sign the cards. I hope the mom's like them! I was even thinking of making some more of these cards and put them inside the treat bags I give out on Halloween evening.

Good morning. I've been working on some Halloween cards lately and this is another card I made for the card swap I recently hosted.

I love this new stamp set and I've used is several times now. I have another set of cards I made for my son's 1st grade class (I'll post those tomorrow).

I began by stamping the pumpkin image and then the face using black ink. Next, I stamped the hats and stars and I cut them out and placed them on top of my stamped pumpkin images. Super easy!

Since I was making this card for a CAS (clean & simple) swap I kept my card more on the simple side. All I needed to complete my card was to add my designer series paper, my ribbon, and stamp my sentiment. You could even eliminate the dsp, the ribbon, and the sentiment if you wanted and it would still be a cute card.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. It's a bit chilly here in North East PA, but I guess that's to be expected this time of year. I wanted to take a minute to quickly explain why I wasn't here last week. My 9 month old puppy was very sick and after taking her to the vet it turns out she has meningitis. She will be taking several medications for the next 3 months, but my family and I are so thrilled that she made it. We thought for sure we were going to lose her. I'd like to thank you to everyone for your well wishes and prayers for my puppy.

The card I'm posting today is one that I made for my Clean & Simple card swap. To create my ghost I used the owl punch and I cut off the owl's legs and turned it up-side down. Don't you love it when you can use one of the Stampin' Up! punches to create something totally different?

I added two small googly eyes that I purchased at my local Dollar store and I placed them on my ghost using glue dots. My ghost is raised up on my card using dimensionals. My sentiment is from SU's Holiday Best stamp set and I used a black marker to ink up only the word portion of the stamp.

I punched my white border using my scallop trim border punch and then I added my ribbon. This was such an easy, quick card to make. I had all 6 of them finished for my swap in about 30 minutes.

I wasn't planning on posting a card today, but everyone's sleeping and I thought I would check out today's Featured Stamper challenge on splitcoast stampers and so here I am. Today's featured stamper is bensarmom and this is her card that I decided to case.

I decided to keep the three pumpkins and Thanksgiving theme of her card, but I changed the stamps used and I also added some dry embossing, sponging and I omitted the leaves.

I used the Stampin' Up! Jack of All Trades stamp set to make my card and I love that you can use this set for creating Thanksgiving/Fall cards as well as Halloween cards. Below is a picture of the Jack of All Trades stamp set and you will find it in the idea book & catalog and it retails for $23.95 for wood mount and $17.95 for the clear mount set.

To create my background I embossed the front of my card using the Framed Tulips embossing folder. Then I embossed my old olive piece of card stock and I placed that on top of my white card base. My pumpkin layer is sponged using pumpkin pie and riding hood red ink.

To create my three pumpkins I first stamped and cut them out. Then I sponged around the edges using pumpkin pie and riding hood red ink. I stamped the stems using old olive ink and my sentiment is from a retired set called holiday & wishes.

I used dimensionals to raise up my pumpkin layer, but my card is still relatively flat and it would be perfect for sending through the mail. Have a great day! See you back here Monday morning.

Good morning! I normally don't post on the weekends, but I just realized that I hadn't posted this card to show everyone, plus hubby isn't home so I have time for my blog this morning.

This is a card I made for a card swap I hosted this past summer. It was a Christmas in July swap. I'm sorry this photo isn't that great, but I don't have any of these cards left to retake it- I gave them all away within my swap. This was a real easy card to make and it's perfect if you like to make your holiday cards since this card is flat and it won't require extra postage.

I first stamped my image using bravo burgundy ink and then on another scrap piece of card stock I stamped the same image again using old olive ink. Then all I did was punch out the portions of the stamp I wanted to be green and place them over top of my first stamped image. I used dimensionals so that they would be raised up just a little bit. You can do this with any portion of the image you like; on my card here I decided to punch out 2 of the flowers along the top and the snowflake in the word joy along the bottom.

I know it's hard to see in my photo so I wanted to point out that in the word season the letter O has a rhinestones jewel inside it.

The burgundy strip of paper along the left side of my card is actually a 1/4" edge from my designer series paper that I folded over. I do this a lot when I want a little bit of a different edge and it's so easy to do. Then along the right side of my background paper I punched a small strip of old olive card stock using my scallop border punch.

Well, that's about it for today. I promised my son that we would make cupcakes today so I'd better run. We are going to try and make those new Fun da-middles cupcakes with the filling in the center. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hi everyone and I hope you all had a wonderful end to the week. Today I have something very special to share with you. I had a box of picture frames I picked up at Kmart last year on Black Friday and last week I decided to open it. I looked at the frames and try to make a piece of framed art and so this is what I came up with.

I knew I wanted to use the word 'family' and so that was the beginning for my project. From there I picked out my Stampin' Up! designer series paper, and that lead me to using my Heartfelt Thanks stamp set.

I began by creating my background layout and then I worked on stamping the letters and I layered them onto my SU designer series paper. There is a burgundy layer along the bottom that I punched using my eyelet border punch.

Next, I stamped the word happy from my Define Your Life stamp set and placed that in the middle along the bottom and then I stamped and cut out the flower images. Then I added my embellishments and here I decided to go with two pieces from my hodge podge hardware set and I added a small piece of ribbon through the square clip hardware.

The last thing I needed to do was to frame my page. This was a really easy project and I had fun making it. I ended up making two more framed are projects and I'll be sharing those projects with you within the next week or so.

I've posted a few pictures below and the last picture I was trying to get a close up for you. If you click on the photos a new window will open with a larger image so that you can see it better.

Good afternoon! Today I'm sharing a project that I stumbled on while I was looking through the resources on splitcoast stampers. Here is the link if you would like the directions to make these adorable buckets.

The pumpkin one was the first one I made and I followed the directions exactly like in the tutorial. The second (ghost) I made on my own. Basically all the directions you need are in the tutorial so I won't go into detail explaining how I made them.

I need to get some candy next time I'm at the store and with a little grass or crimped card stock (cut into strips) these will be just perfect.

Hi everyone! I feel as though I've been MIA, but I'm back. My kids are back in school now and these past two weeks I have been working on getting some things made for some local upcoming craft shows so I have lots to share with you.

Today I thought I would share a little something different. I found these thermos cups/mugs at my local Dollar store and I thought how cute they would be with some Stampin' Up! designer series paper inside them. They are simple to design. All you need to do is to use the template provided for you inside the cups and trace it onto your designer series paper and cut out.

I ended up making 6 of these thermos cups, but I took my photo when I only had three of them made- anyway you get the idea. If you click on the photos they will enlarge so that you can see them better. On two of these cups I did add a little something extra, but you really don't need to.

--The first cup is just designer series paper.

--The second cup I tried to add a band around the middle with a stamped image layered onto a scallop circle. The band around the middle was sort of tricky since the cups are a cylinder shape and it was hard to get the shape correct.

--The third cup just has a punched scallop border along the bottom and that too was a bit tricky since the cups are a cylinder type shape plus it took me a few tries to line up the scallops.

The other three mugs I made were just using designer series paper and I think they are just as pretty as the two I tried to embellish.

This photo below is a picture of the what the thermos cups/mugs look like when I bought them at the Dollar store.

Hi everyone! We are in the middle of a heat wave here in PA so I hope you are able to stay cool. I spent the day working on my Christmas in July card swap.  I made two cards for my swap that this is one of the cards.

I used a retired hostess set called The More the Merrier.  I simply stamped the image and colored it using my Stampin' Up! markers. I kept the coloring of my image simple and I only used 2 blue markers and 1 orange marker for my coloring.

I was going to add some glitter along the bottom of the snowman image, but I decided not too because sometimes the glitter makes such a mess and I wasn't sure if the people who received my card would want that mess.

My background is embossed using my big shot and my Northern Flurry embossing folder. This folder is only has an image on part of it so I made sure to place the embossed portion along the top of my card so that I could see it better.

I stamped my sentiment and punched it using my word window punch and that's about it, what a super easy card!   Tomorrow I will be posting the other Christmas card I made for my swap. Have a great rest of the day and stay cool!

Happy Monday! It was a busy weekend (as usual), but I'm taking a few minutes to share with you the card I made using the new Stampin' Up! Flower Fest stamp set. I made this card for a card swap I participated in a few weeks ago. I'm sorry that my photo isn't the best quality, but I have since mailed my swap cards and so I cannot retake the photo.

I used a technique called 'one sheet wonder' to create my card. With this technique all you basically doing is creating your own pattern paper which is very easy. All you need to do is to take a sheet of blank card stock and randomly stamp your images using any colors you wish. I try to stick with colors that I will be using within my cards. Also, when stamping your images you will want to stamp them close together because once you cut your card stock apart it won't look as busy.

This is a picture of the stamp set I used. It is currently available in our Summer mini catalog. You will find it on page 20 and it is $27.95 for wood mount and $19.95 in the clear mount option. This is such a great set because several of our punches coordinate with it. The 1 3/8" circle, 2 3/8" scallop circle, fancy flower, 5 petal flower, and butterfly punches all coordinate with this set. I love when stamp sets have punches that work with them!

So once my one sheet wonder card stock was stamped I cut it apart and then began creating my cards. I was able to get 6 cards created using my one sheet of stamped pattern paper.

My main (larger) flower was stamped 3 times. Twice I stamped in using rose red ink and then one time I stamped it using pretty in pink ink. I cut out the smaller (pretty in pink) and the smallest rose red stamped flowers using my SU paper snips and then I placed them on top of the first larger flower using my dimensionals.

Lastly, I added my birthday sentiment. I decided not to add any ribbon on my card this time. I sometimes do this when I'm mailing my cards in order to help keep the postage down and I did that with these cards because I figured that the swappers who received my card might be mailing them.

Well that's about it for today, but before I sign off I promised (on Saturday) that I would share a picture of our new swimming pool. My yard isn't quite finished, but I'm almost there. What a ton of work it was to get our back yard together! Now I need to throw a pool party! Hmmm...I think I need to purchase the new Sunny Fun and Summer Splash stamp sets (from our current mini).

Hi everyone! I first want to say a huge thank you for being so patient with me these past few weeks. I've had so much going on that I felt I needed to take a break for a while. I've been busy with the construction of our pool installation and during this process my husband ended up in the emergency room and he had to have his appendix removed. He is doing much better now and he is since back to work, but he still can't lift anything over 10 lbs. Of course you'd have to know my husband and how much he is enjoying the 'no lifting' rule because that leaves all the yard work from the pool installation for me to do. And I never imagined how much yard work there would be once the pool was installed, but it's almost finished- thank goodness! (I will have to post a picture of our pool tomorrow- it's dark out right now).

Today I'm taking the time to update my blog with our new Stampin' Up! catalog link. The card I am sharing with you today is one I made for a card swap. We were able to make any card we wanted and so I decided to make a wedding card. This was a real quick and easy card to make.

I ran my white card stock layer through my big shot machine using my final press embossing folder, but I was sure to keep the lower 1/3 portion of my card stock outside of the embossing folder so that it would remain smooth (or unembossed). I wanted the smooth portion below my ribbon so that I could stamp my sentiment in that area.

I colored in the dots on my embossed background black using my SU black marker. I had to be careful to only color the dots- this was actually easy to do.

Next, I stamped my sentiment using my stamp-a-ma-jig so that I stamped it straight and then I added my ribbon and that's it! A quick and easy wedding card!

On Monday I will be posting another card I made for the same card swap. I used the new flower Stampin' Up! stamp set called Flower Fest. This set is available in our current summer mini catalog (on page 20) and it's also in our newly released catalog.

Today I'm sharing with you another card I made for my class this past Saturday. This is a Mother's Day card we made. My background is embossed using clear embossing powder and the flower part of the hydrangea stamp.

The rest of my card was really quick and easy to make. I inked up the flower portion of my stamp using my poppy parade ink pad and the stem portion of my stamp I inked up using my pear pizzazz ink pad and then all I did was stamp the image onto my card stock. It's not always easy to ink up an image this way, but with this particular image it's pretty easy.

The decorative paper I used has the top 1/4" folded over- I often times do this. My sentiment was stamped and punched out using my wide oval punch and I placed it onto my card using dimensionals.

Good Evening! I want to thank you all for being patient with me these past two weeks. I have been really sick and as a result I have not been posting much. I'm feeling better today, but I still have my cold.

I wanted to share with you one of the cards I made for my class this past Saturday. We made Father's Day and Mother's Day cards. I used the Stampin' Up! set called Uncharted Territory, what a great set for all sorts of masculine cards.

I began making my card by first making a mask of the lighthouse. To make a mask you first need to stampin your image onto a scrap piece of card stock and then cut it out. Then I placed my cut out lighthouse over top of the stamped lighthouse image on my card.

Next, I began sponging by background. I first started with the pacific point ink - sponging heavier along the top of the sky and then sponging lighter but not all the way down to the ground and sea area- you'll want to leave that part untouched.

Using daffodil delight ink I very lightly sponged just below my blue area towards the bottom of the ground and sea area. And then I sponged just above the ground area using pumpkin pie ink. I was very careful when sponging with the daffodil delight and pumpkin pie ink because it's hard to fix it when the ink is too dark, but if it's too light you can always sponge a little bit more.

The sea, part of the lighthouse, and ground part of my stamped image were water colored using my Stampin' Up! water color crayons and a blender pen.

And finally to finish off my card I added three brads on the left hand side and stamped my sentiment in the upper right hand side. My image panel is adhered to my card using dimensionals.

I know it sounds like a lot to make this card, but really it's not. Just some simple sponging and a little bit of coloring and you can have yourself a great Father's day card too!

Hi everyone! Today I decided to try out Stampin' Up's new Doily triple layer punch. I used this punch for punching out my flower images and to layer behind them. I also used this punch to create my punched border along the bottom of my card. I have posted a few photos to show you how I created my card.

I made this card for this week's splitcoast clean & simple challenge in which we were to create a card using the 'rule of 3' meaning that we needed to have 3 of something on our cards. I'm also submitting this card for the Stampin' Up! only challenge blog found here. For this challenge we were to create Mother's day cards.

I began by punching my card stock for my border. Here I needed 5 punch outs and I used the 3rd position of my Doily Triple Layer Punch. I used a scrap piece of card stock so that's why my top part is cut off- not to worry you won't see that part anyway.

Here I simply placed the punch outs together. I didn't even worry about trying to glue them together. The adhesive in the next step will be enough. I used my grid paper to help me line up the punch outs.

I placed my adhesive along the bottom portion of my white card stock and then all I needed to do was to neatly lay it on top of my punch out pieces.

Next, all you need to do is to trim off the excess card stock along the ends. I used my paper snips for this and that's all there is to creating a border using your triple layer punch!

Now for my flower images. I used the smallest flower image on my Inspired by Nature flower stamp. I simply colored that part of the stamp using my SU markers and then I stamped it onto my card stock.

Next, I punched out the flower using my Doily Triple Layer Punch (in the first position). I did this for a total of three times. Then to create my background layer I needed to punch out 6 peices of Marina Mist card stock.

Once I had all my pieces punched out it was time to start putting them together. I positioned my flower image layer on my Marina Mist background so that just a little bit of the border was showing along the top portion.

Then I took another Marina Mist punch out and I placed that piece just along the bottom part of my stamped image so that just a bit of the border would be showing. Both pieces of Marina Mist card stock will overlap each other on the back side, but you won't see that part once your card is completed.

And here is my finished card. My three flowers are raised up using SU dimensionals. The upper portion of my background was embossed using my Big Shot and my Polka Dots embossing folder. My Mother's Day sentiment is from the hostess stamp set called Something to Celebrate.

Hi everyone! Today I made this card for the Stampin' Up! only blog challenge found here. For this challenge we were to create a Mother's Day card. I decided to use my new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and so I have a turtorial to share with you on how I made my flower. It's really easy, but I have a lot of photos to show you step by step how I made my flower.

The rest of my card was simple to make. I added two rows of paper piercing along the top and bottom of my card and I stamped and cut out a butterfly and placed it to the left and just above my sentiment. My decorative paper is folded over along the top and that's about it!

I won't be around for the next few days because of the Easter holiday, but I'll be back early next week. I'd like to wish all of you a Happy Easter! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like my turtorial.

This is a picture of the three punched out pieces I made my flower with. Here I used 2 punch outs that are decorative paper and one is so saffron card stock. I added a few dots on my punch outs. I placed my white punch out on top of my so saffron card stock so that you could see it better.

I began forming and folding my flowers in the direction I wanted them to be. This punch out is my bottom layer so I am folding it so that my saffron side will be the raised part.

I am doing the same thing in this photo except this punch out is my top layer and I am working the card stock so that this part of my flower will become cupped. You will want to work the card stock to sort of break up the fibers.

My next step was to actually use the end of a brand new pencil to help me cup my punch outs. Don't worry you won't ruin your flowers, this just helps to break up the card stock fibers and form the card stock into the shape you want it. You will not see the center so don't worry about any marks left by the eraser or metal part of the pencil.

Here's another photo of me doing the same thing with my top flower layer. I placed the pencil eraser in the center of my punch out and then I sort of wrapped it around my eraser.

This is what your punch outs will look like once you have finished forming them in the direction you would like them. They can be formed so that your flower appears cupped outward or inward.

My next step was to place my three layers together using my SU glue dots. I only used one glue dot in the center of my layers. With the flower I am making I have my bottom layer cupped downward and my two top layers cupped upward.

Next, I tied some linen thread through the button holes of my button and then using another glue dot I placed my button in the center of my flower.

At this point your flower is all but finished. All you need to do is to use some SU dimensionals to adhere your flower onto your stamped image layer or your card. I took this photo to show you how I use my SU dimensionals to give more of a 3-D appearance. In this photo I placed one dimensional in the center of the back side of my flower.

And here I placed another SU dimensional on top of my first one. I layered my dimensionals to help raise up the center of my punched flower. I ended up using a total of 3 dinemsionals on my punched flower.

Then all you need to do is to place your flower wherever you would like it. Here I have it towards the top of my stamped flower stem.

Hi everyone! Today I have another Easter card to share with you. I apologize again for my photo not being as nice as I would like it. I do not have the card to retake the photo because my son gave this card to his speech therapist for Easter, I hope she liked it!

I stamped the chick image for a total of three times. The first one is my main image that I stamped onto my white card stock and then I colored the chick and I made some grass along the feet using my SU markers. My next two images were stamped onto my decorative paper so that I could paper piece the egg part. I simply stamped the image onto my decorative paper and then I cut out the egg shell portion of my image and one I placed over top of the chick and the other one I placed next to the chick along the grassy ground area.

The borders of my pretty in pink card stock were punched using my scallop trim border punch and my scallop trim corner punch. Here is a wonderful tutorial from Gretchen's blog showing how you can do this too.

Hi everyone! First, I must say thank you for bearing with me while I wasn't feeling well these past few days. I have a few more cards to share with you this week and then I will be taking a few days off from blogging during the Easter holiday. My husband and children will both be home and it's hard to find stamping time with everyone here.

This is an Easter card that I made for my Easter card class. I'm sorry the photo of my card isn't the best, but I do not have this card anymore to retake the picture. My son gave it to his teacher today for Easter.

This is the stamp set I used to make my card, it's called 'So Cute'.

I stamped the bunny image three times and then punched it out using my large oval punch. Each image is layered onto pretty in pink card stock that I punched using my scallop oval punch. I colored the images using my Stampin' Up! markers. The bunny ears are pink and each bow is colored using a different color.

My Happy Easter sentiment is from the 'A Good Egg' stamp set and I punched that out using my word window punch. And that's about it, quick and easy!

Hello everyone! I haven't been feeling well these past few days and so I've been absent from my blogging. I'm a bit better today and trying to catch up with some of my posts.

The card I am posting today I made for the index gallery on splitcoast stampers so this card will not show up in my splitcoast gallery, but I can post it here on my blog for you all to see.

Since this card was for the gallery index I kept it more plain and simple. I colored the stamp using my SU markers. I used rose red, wild wasabi, and soft suede.

My decorative paper isn't really decorative paper. It's rose red card stock that I just added a few dots onto using my white gel pen. And my ribbon is actually white grosgrain ribbon that I colored using my wild wasabi maker.

Good morning! It's a rainy day here today in PA and my little one is down for her nap already so I had some time to try out the new triple layer punch from Stampin' Up! There are 2 triple layer punches in the new summer mini catalog and I couldn't resist so I had to buy both of them and I'm so glad I did.

I decided to make an Easter card with my flower punch today. The triple layer punches are so easy to use. All you need to do is to slide the button over to which ever punch out you would like. I decided to use the solid and the flower punch outs to make my flowers. So basically I punched out the flower pieces and then I layered them together. I added some dots using my white gel pen and my chocolate chip SU marker. The center part of my flower is one of the small punches from the SU itty bitty punch pack.

My flower stems were stamped using my stamp-a-ma-jig to help me line them up nicely. The stamp set I used for the flower stems is called Bold Blossom and it is available right now in our current mini catalog. My sentiment is from a retired set called well scripted.

Hello everyone I'm sorry my post is later today, it's been a busy couple of days. I received my preorder yesterday and I couldn't wait to share this card with you that I made using one of our new stamps. This stamp is called Hello Blossoms and it is from the new summer mini catalog which will be available to order on May 1st.

I didn't use any ink pads to create my card, instead I used my Stampin' Up! markers to color the stamp. It took a little bit to color the flowers, stems, and letters, but all you need to do once you have colored you stamp is to 'huff' to remoisten the ink on your stamp and then stamp it onto your card stock.

I was trying to come up with a little bit different layout and I like the way my card turned out. Just along the bottom portion of my card I added three rows of paper piercing using my SU mat pack and paper piercing too. I almost always add ribbon on my cards and so on this card I decided to add my ribbon just along the side of my stamped image.

Hi everyone! This is the second card I made for my CAS clean & simple birthday card swap. I wanted this card to be simple, simpler than the cards I usually make.

For my stamped flower image, I inked up the flower part of the stamp using my brocade blue ink pad and then I carefully inked up the stem part of the stamp using my pear pizzazz ink pad and then all I needed to do was to stamp it onto my card stock, so quick and easy.

I chose to use a spiral clip with a small piece of ribbon tied on it for my embellishment as well as some dazzling diamonds glitter. My flower image is really glittery in person and that little bit of glitter makes all the difference, what a great way to dress up a card without a lot of work.

The because of you is a current level I hostess set and the sentiment I used is from a current level II hostess set in the mini catalog called something to celebrate.

Hi everyone! Here is another swap card I made, but this time this swap card was made for my swap. I am currently hosting a CAS clean & simple birthday card swap. The cards were due to me yesterday so I'm almost finished hosting that swap and I've since started a Christmas in July CAS clean & simple card swap. I decided to keep my CAS birthday card a bit more CAS then I usually do. This card literally only took me a few minutes to create and I love the results. I used a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set call Dream a Little. This is the first time that I used this stamp set so I wanted to give it a try.

I stamped the flower images onto my white card stock and then I colored them using my Stampin' Up! markers. Next, I stamped my birthday sentiment in the upper left corner, I added one rhinestone jewel for the dot of the letter i in the word birthday, and then I punched my corners using my ticket corner punch.

I almost always add ribbon on my cards and so this card was no exception. For my ribbon treatment, I decided to add two small tabs on the right side.

Before I sign off for today, I have some not so good news to share with all my blog friends. My family and I lost our cocker spaniel, Pebbles last night. She was just two months shy of her 15th birthday. I took this picture of her about two weeks ago.

She was such a wonderful dog and we miss her already, *sniff sniff* but my family and I know she is at peace now and no longer suffering since she was diagnosed with kidney disease just two months ago. I have already received several messages from some of you and I wanted to say thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my family and me.

Happy Wednesday! This week I really caught up on all of the cards that I needed to make for my swaps. Today I'm sharing another card that I made. For this swap we could create any card we wanted and so this is what I came up with. I used a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set, but this is one of those sets that I would never part with.

This was a real quick and easy card to make so if you're ever in a pinch and you need to make a card quickly, this would be perfect. You could always change the sentiment to suit your needs.

I began by stamping the blossom flowers first with the pretty in pink ink and then I used rich razzleberry for my second color choice. Then I stamped the stems using old olive first and then pear pizzazz nest. I didn't even use my stampa-a-ma-jig to create this card; I just stamped away and sort of tried to line up my images as I went along.

I decided to add a bit of sponging along the edges of my card using rich razzleberry- can you tell I love this color!? And to finish off my card, I added my ribbon and sentiment and that's it!

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made for a card swap that I signed up for. For this swap we were able to create any type of card we wanted and with Mother's Day coming up next month, I thought this would be perfect.

I just bought this stamp set called Painted Petals and I just love it! I know many of us have lots of flower stamps, but I just can't get enough flowers. I like how versatile my flower stamp sets are, they are great for birthdays, Mother's Day, thinking of you, sympathy thank you, and more! Plus this particular set has images that coordinate with our Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack- I love it when the stamps and punches go together.

All I did to create my flower was to stamp the images, cut them out, and layer them. I used my crop-a-dial to set the eyelet that I placed in the center of my flower. I haven't used any eyelets in a long time, so I decided to put them out and see if I can still remember how to use them....LOL

The rest of my card was fairly simple. I used my big shot and elegant lines embossing folder to emboss my background. I used the eyelet border punch for the punched border along my melon mambo card stock layer and I used my white gel pen to create the row of dots along the bottom of my tempting turquoise layer.

My Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from the level II hostess set called something to celebrate. This hostess set is wonderful and it's filled with lots of great sentiments for all sorts of occasions. Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! My weekend was uneventful, but I did start some spring cleaning. I hope Mother Nature soon gets the memo that it's spring!

Today's card uses the Build a Blossom stamp set. This card was so easy to make and I love the little added touch the pearls give, they are a great embellishment to any card or project.

I first stamped the petal images by inking up my stamp and stamping off onto a piece of scrap card stock and then I stamped it onto the card stock I was using. Next, I used the second leaf image, but this time I did not 'stamp off' and that's the technique that will give you the two toned look using the same ink pad. I did this process for both my large and small petals.

Once I had my images stamped, I punched them out using the blossoms petal punch, but you will want to be sure and leave enough room in-between your images so that when you are using your punch you won't be punching out the next image- ask me how I know...LOL

My next step was to begin assembling my flower. I did this by simply punching out a 1 3/8" circle and I applied adhesive all over the circle and then I placed my flower on top. I did add some more adhesive as I went along, but the smaller punched circle and the silver brad on top of my flower hide all of the piecing of the flower. I used my bone folder to curl the petals on my card outward- I did this to try a different look.

My background was created by using the top note die and my big shot and my sentiment is from Stampin' Up! hostess set Silhouette Sentiments.

Hi everyone! It's not too early to start thinking aabout Easter, right? And so today I decided to share a card I made last week. I got this idea from another card I saw online, if I find it again I'll be sure to come back and post who it was from. I cased the idea for the how to make the chicks with the flower.

The chicks were punched using my Stampin' Up! bird punch. I took the punched out wings and clipped the end of them using my scallop oval punch. I sponged all along the edges of the chicks and I just used my SU marker to draw in a dot for the eyes.

The flower stem was punched also using the 2 step bird punch and the flower on top of the stem is from the boho blossoms flower punch.

Hi everyone! I did some grocery shopping today before the snow storm arrives. Yep, it's the last day of March and here in PA we are expected to get another 8" of the fluffy white stuff tonight into tomorrow morning. I think there might not be school tomorrow, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Today's card is another one I made for my class this past Saturday. I wanted to make a masculine card using the create a cupcake stamp set and coordinating punch and so this is what I came up with.

This card was very easy to make. I simply stamped and punched out the cupcake image and then I placed it onto my scalloped circle layer using dimensionals. I did add one small Rhinestones Jewel on the tie part of the cupcake image, I just felt that it needed a bit of something and I didn't want to add any ribbon since I was trying to keep this card a little on the masculine side.

My crumb cake layer was punched using my scallop boder punch and I decided to add one white dot in the center of each scallop. And that's about it for my card today!

This is a card I made for my class this past Saturday. I love this cupcake set and coordinating punch, it makes such cute cards. I also made a more masculine cupcake card that I will post tomorrow.

To create this card was really easy! First I embossed the background by inserting the embossing folder only part way across my white card stock layer and then I ran it through my big shot machine. Once that part was finished I decided to add a score line to sort of separate the embossed background part and my sentiment area.

Then it was onto my cupcakes. All I really did to create the cupcakes was to stamp them, punch them out, and adhered them together. To make the cherry on the center cupcake I colored the stamp using my Stampin' Up! markers and then I punched out the cherry using the create a cupcake punch. The cupcakes were placed onto my card using dimensionals.

Hi all! I wanted to make a card for this week's CAS- clean & simple challenge on splitcoast stampers. The challenge this week was to find ways to use cut up sentiments. I decided to try out my new Stampin' Up! stamp set 'Just Buzzin' By'.

First, I stamped the three bee images and then colored them using my SU markers. The wings were water colored using my water color bashful blue crayon and blender pen. Sometimes I will water color part of an image if I want it to have a more suttle shade of color.

My sentiments were stamped and then punched using my modern label punch. I punched out one side of my sentiment and then I had to take the sentiment, turn it around and place it back inside the punch and punch it again. I needed to stamp the entire sentiment a few times in order to punch the words out this way.

For the word hi I used the other word sentiment in this same stamp set and using my black SU marker, I colored in the letter h and then the letter i and I stamped them together to form the word hi. I know that was a bit tricky to do, but it works.

I added black dots using my SU black marker along the scallop edge of my daffodil delight card stock and white dots

Happy Monday! I hope you are all having a great day so far. I was able to get a lot accomplished today, which is good because I'm going to begin working on cards for my Easter class this Friday evening. If you are interested in attending please let me know. I only have 3 spots left.

The card I am sharing with you today is one that I made for my class this past Saturday. To create the flower petals, I used the large petal stamp and first stamped it off onto a scrap piece of paper and then onto my regal rose card stock. Then I took the inside leaf image and this time I didn't stamp off, I just inked up the stamp and then stamped on top of my first image. I did the leaves in the same manner using old olive ink and card stock.

Once I had my images stamped, I punched them out using the blossoms petal punch. When that was finished I used my 1" circle punch to punch out a circle and I then began adhering the petals on top of that circle. Then I placed another 1" (punched) so saffron circle on top of my flower. My flower was then placed onto my card front using dimensionals. Sometimes I'll stack the dimensionals on top of each other if I need my image raised a bit higher, which I did here since I have the petals curled. I curled them using my bone folder- you will want to curl your petals as if you were curling ribbon with your scissors.

My just for you sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Just Believe. The sentiments in that set are perfect for the word window punch. The last thing I did on my card was to add the glitter using my 2 way glue pen. I almost always add the glitter last because then my card can sit to dry.

Hi everyone! Oh, what a busy day I had today! I went shopping to pick up a few things we needed and then you know how it goes when you go shopping, I got side tracked plus the checkout lines were really long. Don't you hate when there are like 30 cash registers and only 2 or 3 are open at each end?

So as busy as I was today, I didn't have time to create a card, but I have this card that my upline sent to me. It's such a pretty card, isn't it? This is one of those cards that is so pretty you don't want to use it!

Hi everyone! The weather here is snowy and cold, the kids are home from school and I figured I might as well try to make a card while my 2 year old is napping.

I made this card for my son's speech therapist who recently told us that she is expecting her second baby. I hope she likes it!

The stamp set I used is a retired set, called Swell News. The dress was stamped twice, once on the decorative paper and again on my main layer. I used the paper piecing technique and I cut out the dress from the decorative paper and placed it over top of my first stamped image. For the rest of the lady image I simply colored it using my SU markers.

My background is embossed using my big shot- I love my big shot, best money spent! I also used the Final Press embossing folder. I added my sentiment and layered it using my circle punches, and then I added my ribbon with the bow.

I followed Monday's clean & simple splitcoast challenge, which was a sketch challenge this week. I think my card is sort of on the border of being CAS, but it still works!

I made this card baby card using the Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set. I find myself never having enough baby cards on hand and so I thought this cute tag stamp would be perfect, plus I love that the large and small Stampin' Up! tag punches are made for stamps like these.

The background of my card was first stamped using the small star stamp from the So Happy for You stamp set and then I added some white dots using my white gel pen, just to brighten it up a bit. The rest of my background is just a piece of SU dp folded over along the top.

The tag stamp was colored using my SU markers and then I stamped it onto my card stock. Next, I punched it and layerd it using the tag punches. Then I added a small piece of white ribbon behind the tag and the brad helps to hold it in place. The tag was then placed onto my card using dimensionals.

I used the baby sentiment from the SU set, Curvy Verses- that's such a great sentiment set because you really don't have to worry about stamping the sentiment straight since the words are curvy.

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card that my friend Mindy sent to me. Isn't it so pretty! Here is the link to Mindy's blog; she's also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I love her cards, so be sure to take a moment to check out her blog!

Mindy used the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Bliss to make this card. She stamped the flowers and cut them out; they are placed on the card with dimensionals. I love the three little pearls she added to the sentiment, they are just perfect.

The background is embossed with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, I love that folder!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday! It's a gorgeous day here today in Pennsylvania and I was outside earlier with my daughter and my new puppy. Trying to take my puppy for a walk is a real picnic. My neighbors must be laughing at me because she doesn't want to walk and I end up carrying her instead, so I had a 2 year old in one hand and a puppy in the other.

And speaking of such a beautiful day, I decided to post this card I made last week for my card class. I used another stamp set that you are able to earn during Stampin's Up! Sale-a-bration promotion.

The flower was colored using my Stampin' Up! markers and then stamped onto my white card stock. The butterfly and hello sentiment were just stamped using ink pads. Then I added a small row of rhinestones jewels just below the word hello and a melon mambo color button in the center of my stamped flower.

My background was embossed using my big shot and the dots embossing folder. The bottom of the tempting turquoise card stock layer was punched using my scallop trim border punch and the corners of my main stamped image layer were punched using the ticket corner punch- I often times forget about that little punch and it's such a great addition to any card. The dp I used is another SAB choice- it's the ice cream parlor designer paper pack.

Well, that's about all for today. I'm off to get supper going because I want to feed the kids early today and I'm cooking out on the grill today. Have a great weekend and I'll be back again on Monday!

I almost forgot today was St. Patrick's Day. My son reminded me this morning while I was getting his clothes out for school. His kindergarten teacher told all of the children to wear green today and then I remembered this card I made and I thought it would be perfect to share with you.

I used the shamrock stamp from the Sale-a-bration set, So Happy For You. I stamped is using two different color green inks- certainly celery and old olive. Then all I needed to do was to punch each shamrock image out using my 1/2" circle punch and then place them onto my old olive card stock layer. The easiest way to make sure that the circles are equally placed is to start by placing a circle in each corner and then work your way inward, placing the center circle onto your card stock last. This method always seems to work best for me.

The embellishments I added on this card were a single rhinestones jewel in the center of the middle shamrock and a three knot ribbon. This is a really easy ribbon treatment to do. First you tie one color of ribbon along your card stock base (or where ever you wanted you ribbon) and then just take two pieces of coordinating ribbon and just tie them along the ribbon using a simple knot- this is a great way to use up some of those ribbon scraps we always seem to have lying around.

The main shamrock layer was placed onto my white card stock layer using dimensionals and then lastly, I stamped on my good luck sentiment, which is also from the same stamp set.

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! I'm a bit late posting today because I've been so busy trying to train my new puppy. She's doing well, except for the puppy biting. I'm hoping she so learns to stop doing that because those darn puppy teeth are sharp.

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another card that I made for my card class this past weekend. I used another Sale-a-bration stamp set to make this card and I love the way it turned out!

This card was so easy to make and I can see myself making several of these at a time just to have on hand. I simply stamped the birthday image using the three different colors and then I punched them using my square scallop punch and placed them onto my card using dimensionals.

The decorative paper is another SAB choice this year. It's from the designer series paper and quick accents Ice Cream Parlor pack. The ribbon I used, as well as the buttons was another SAB option this year; it was the Ice Cream Parlor ribbon and button pack.
