Hi everyone! I wanted to post a quick message to let you all know that I will be taking a short break from blogging for a few days. I've been busy getting things ready for my children for when they start school next week. I'm also trying to get other things done around the house and my dog needs a hair cut, I have to gorocery shopping. On top of that my husband isn't feeling well and he didn't go to work today. I don't know, he came home from work yesterday not feeling well, hopefully its just a stomach bug and it will pass.
Well, I hope you all have a great rest of the week and I'll be back in a few days!
Welcome to my stamping blog! I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I hope you enjoy the projects I share with you here. If you have any questions on any of the projects shown feel free to send me an email and I'll be happy to help you. I'd love to have you follow me too!

I've been seeing some Halloween cards already, so I thought I'd jump right in and make one. I received this image through Splitcoast's Wish RAK. All I needed to was to color my image and assemble my card.
I used my SU mat pack to help me align the dots I placed along both sides of my stamped image. I used the scallop trim border punch on the bottom edging of my black card stock. The pattern paper I used I found in Target's dollar spot last year.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! I'll be busy canning peppers and tomatoes and Sunday I am going to a Vera Bradley bingo, wish me luck!
Stamps: The More the Merrier, All Year Cheer III
Card Stock: White, Black, Only Orange, DP- from Target $ Spot
Ink: Black Stazon

I am currently hosting a CAS, clean & simple Christmas card swap and everyone is welcome to play along. You can find more information about my swap here. My last swap was such a success and we received some wonderful cards. If anyone would like to see the cards I received last year you will find them here.
So for my card today, I decided to make a CAS Christmas card. I received this image through wish RAK. I love this image, it's so easy to color and it makes great cards.
I colored the snowman image using my SU markers and then I added a bit of glitter along the bottom of my image. My pattern paper is also glittery and my card looks really cute in person- sorry that this photo isn't that great. My background is embossed using my cuttlebug and Snow Dots embossing folder.
I love this combination of Almost Amethyst and blues and I hope you do too! Thanks for taking the time to stop on by, have a great rest of the day! Be sure to check back tomorrow, I have my card all ready and I will be posting a CAS Halloween card!

This is one of those stamp sets I would never sell! I love how quick and easy Heartfelt Thanks is to use. I needed a thank you card and I looked through my pattern paper to see what I could find. Once I found this pattern paper it was my inspiration for the color combo I used.
My flower image was created by coloring my stamp using my SU markers. I ended up using ruby red for my flower image because the burgundy just seemed too dark. (My cardstock in
baroque burgundy). My mellow moss layer is embossed using my cuttlebug and I added two rows of paper piercing just along the bottom of my card.
My thanks sentiment is actually part of the thank you stamp found in SU's sincere salutations stamp set. I simply colored the word thanks using my marker, stamped it onto a scrap piece of card stock and then I punched it using my word window punch.
I tried something a little different with my card with my layout and the way I tied on my ribbon. Lately I've been trying to come up some different layouts. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks, Sincere Salutations
Card Stock: White, Mellow Moss, Baroque Burgundy
Ink: Baroque Burgundy
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Stamp-a-ma-jig, SU Markers, White Gel Pen, Glue Dots, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Cuttlebug, Leafy Branch Embossing Folder

On Friday my daughter was outside and she saw this beautiful butterfly in our yard. She asked me to hurry and grab my camera in hopes of getting a picture of it. Don't mind the brown grass, it's been so dry here and we've hardly had any rain for the past month. Good thing we finally got some rain yesterday.
The card I made for today was totally inspired by this butterfly, btw- isn't it really pretty?
My card also follows this week's CAS, Clean & Simple Sketch challenge based on Emily's card found here.
I stamped and colored the butterfly image using my SU markers. I used my white gel pen to highlight a little bit of the wings and once I was finished I decided to add some DD glitter along the wings.
My butterfly image was cut out and then I adhered it using glue dots. I did this so that the wings could still raise up off of my card just a bit.
Other than that my card was fairly quick and easy. My black card stock was punched using my Cornice Edge MS border punch and I added two rows of paper piercing just along the bottom of my card.
I drew in the antenna using my black SU marker.
Stamps: Touch of Nature, Whimsical Words, Priceless
Card Stock: White, Tempting Turquoise, Black
Ink: Black Stazon
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, 2 Way Glue Pen, DD Glitter, Cornice Edge Martha Stewart Border Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, SU Markers, White Gel Pen, Scissors -for cutting out butterfly, Glue Dots
Technique: Paper Piercing

My mother in law and my husband's grandmother took my son out yesterday to do some school shopping. They spent the entire day together, shopping, trying on clothes, and then they had lunch at The Olive Garden.
I wanted to make them both a thank you card (from my son) and so this is what I came up with. Although my cards are similar, they are a little bit different. My layout and sentiments are different, as well as the color of ribbon I used and the sneakers.
I used the little boy image from SU's Kids At Play stamp set (I thought it resembled my son). I first stamped the image and then I colored it using my SU markers. The jean shorts I made using a technique called paper piecing.
To make them look like real jeans I used my SU background stamp called Just Jeans. I inked up my background stamp using brocade blue ink and then I stamped it onto a scrap piece of card stock. Then I inked my boy stamp using black stazon ink and I stamped that over my 'jeans' image. Next, I needed to do was cut out the shorts part of the image and then place that over top of my original (already colored in) image.
For the shirt I colored it using my real red marker and then I added a few white lines using my white gel pen. My son really does have a shirt that looks like this!
The upper half of my background was embossed using my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder and since my cards will be from my son I decided not to add any sort of fancy ribbon treatment or bow. I decided to go with a more simple ribbon knot tied onto a spiral clip.
Stamps: Kids At Play, Warmest Regards, Just Jeans
Card Stock: White, Real Red, SU DP
Ink: Black Stazon, Brocade Blue
Supplies: Ribbon, Spiral Clip, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, SU Markers, White Gel Pen, Scissors, Dimensionals
Technique: Dry Embossing, Paper Piecing
Stamps: Kids At Play, Sincere Salutations, Just Jeans
Card Stock: White, Real Red, SU DP
Ink: Black Stazon, Brocade Blue
Supplies: Ribbon, Spiral Clip, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, SU Markers, White Gel Pen, Scissors, Dimensionals
Technique: Dry Embossing, Paper Piecing
If you would like some more information about the paper piecing technique I used on both of my cards you will find a great tutorial here.
And don't forget to leave a comment on my blog post found here, for a chance to win 100 SU stamped images! I will be drawing a winner on Tuesday morning!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry that I'm running a bit behind with my blog this week, but I'm catching up with it now.
This was a hard card for me to make. I wasn't quite sure if this would be suitable, but I'm hoping my friend likes it. It's actually for a friend who I used to work with a few years ago.
Her son passed away about three weeks ago and this is the second child that she has lost, both due to an illness. I can't even imagine how she is coping, but I'm hoping my card will offer my condolences and also to let her know that I've been thinking about her.
I stamped my tree image using chocolate chip ink and then I just randomly stamped the greens and pink along the branches.
Next, using my stamp-a-ma-jig I added the tire swing image and the boots.
I ended up placing my sentiment and ribbon on the same side of my card, so I felt that I needed to balance it out a little bit, so I punched out a small corner using my photo corner punch, but the small corner was still just a little too big. I simply used my paper snips to trim just a little off of each side of the certainly celery corner and now it fits perfectly.
Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll be posting two thank you cards I made for my mother in law.
Stamps: Branch Out, Warmest Regards

Supplies: Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Photo Corners Punch, SU Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Dimensionals

My son has been going to a preschool class this summer in preparation for kindergarten this fall and this Friday is his last day and I wanted to make a card for his teacher.
I was looking through my stamps and I thought this sentiment would be perfect for her. My background is embossed with my cuttlebug and D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. My butterfly image is stamped using pretty in pink and chocolate ink.
It's hard to see in my photo, but I added some glitter onto my card. I stamped the dotted outline stamp using versa mark and then I dusted Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder over it and hit it with my heat gun.
The little butterfly was stamped and then I used my chocolate chip marker to color in the butterfly's body. Next I went over my entire image using my versa mark ink pad and again I embossed it using Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
Just in case you aren't able to read my sentiment is reads- one person can make such a difference and that person is you!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked my card! Enjoy your day!

My sister is visiting with me for a few days so I didn't have time to make a card for today. I decided to upload one of the first cards I ever made. This card was through the mail and back again so if it looks a little worn you'll know why.
I made this card 5 years ago, it's pretty neat to see how far along I've come with my cards and even back then pink, blue, and green was one of my favorite color combos.
I stamped my flowers randomly all over my card stock and then I colored in the flower centers.
Once I was finished with my stamping I placed the three layers of card stock together and then I tore them along the bottom edges. Then I spread out the layers and adhered them together.
Paper tearing is a great technique and I hardly do that anymore. See 5 years ago I didn't even know what a cuttlebug was...LOL
My flower above my sentiment was punched using my Spring Bouquet flower punch. It didn't occur to me when I was making this card that I could have just stamped another of the same flower images and then cut it out. See I have come a long way. I didn't even have any ribbon back then...LOL
Have a great rest of the day and don't forget to leave a comment on my stamped images blog candy post found here for a chance to win 100 SU stamped images.

Hi everyone! This week just flew by for me, but I'm glad it's Friday. I have another quick card that I made using an image I received through the pif (Pay it Forward) image thread on splitcoast.
Right now I'm currently hosting the thread and we are always looking for some new players. It's real easy to play along and it's a great way to have some new images to play with without having to buy new stamps.
If you would like to play along you will find more information here in the thread. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
I colored the penguin image using my SU markers. This took me a little bit to color the red checks, but I really like how it turned out.
I used my scor-pal to emboss my background with smaller squares to resemble the red and white checked in my image. If you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see my embossed background a little better.
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

This past week I've went through my box of stamped images. I found this image that I had already colored using my SU markers, so all I needed to do was to put together a card with it.
My background was embossed using my cuttlebug and snow dots embossing folder. I used my SU mat pack to help me align my three brads. And that's about it, a super quick and easy card for today!
Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for stopping by!

This was a real quick and easy card to make. I received this image through wish RAK and so all I needed to do was to color the image and assemble my card.
Once I was finished with my coloring, I added a few dots in the flower centers using my white gel pen and then I stamped my thank you sentiment in the lower left hand corner.
This is such a pretty image, I wasn't quite sure at first if I liked this stamp set, but after seeing so many lovely cards in the galleries I might have to add it to my wish list! Thanks for dropping by!

I made a card today using one of the new punches I purchased over the weekend. This punch is called Scrolls & Dots and it's a fairly new one from EK Success. I received this image through an image swap, so I'm sorry that I do not know who it is made by.
If anyone knows who makes this stamp please let me know. ETA- I found out that this image is a High Hopes image- called Three Pane Christmas. My image is colored using my SU markers and then all I needed to do was to assemble my card.
I found my red checked dp in my scrap box, so I'm not exactly sure who it is from. My husband really likes this card, so I might end up using the rest of the images I have and make some more for Christmas this year.
Stamps: Christmas Greetings, Three Pane Christmas- High Hopes
Card Stock: White, Real Red, DP- unknown
Ink: Black Stazon

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We spent yesterday shopping and the kids had a great time. I picked up some new Martha Stewart punches at Marshalls. Yep, you read that correctly...Marshalls!
They were really cheap too, only $3.50 and $3.99. You'll want to look for them near the registers along the front of the store. I'll have to try out some of my new punches within the next few days.
My card also uses a new stamp set that I just got, called Embrace Life. I stamped the flower image and colored it using my SU markers. The pretty in pink card stock is also stamped using the same flower stamp and then I added a few dots using my white gel pen and SU chocolate chip marker.
My background is embossed using my cuttlebug and D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. I also added some dots along the edge of my stamped flower image.
I hope you like my card! Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
