Here's my card for today's Clean & Simple Challenge. Today's challenge was a theme challenge and the theme was to create a wedding card.

When I need to make a wedding card, I find myself usually using white card stock and my Cuttlebug. I guess because I feel that the Cuttlebug can create elegant cards so quickly and easily.

I used my Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug embossing folder called 'Just My Type' to create the embossed portion of my card. This particular folder is a set of five small strips, so all I did was run the small strip folder through my Cuttlebug and then I turned the folder around and I embossed again just above my previous row.

Right above my embossed area I used my Scor-pal to create three straight score lines. My ribbon is over top of these lines, but I just wanted to mention it in case you couldn't see it.

I didn't have oval punches large enough, so I used my Cricut to cut out the two ovals at the top of my card. Then I stamped my sentiment and I stamped and cut out the small flowers. The flowers are from SU's Fairy-tale Wedding stamp set. I stamped them using Silver Encore ink.

Finally, I added some liquid pearls (white opal) to the center of each flower. My silver and white ribbon is from Offray. Thanks for looking!

Here's my card for today's featured stamper challenge. Today's featured stamper is steubner, congrats Shannan! Here is her card that I decided to case. I kept the same sketch that she used, but I changed the stamps and the colors.

I just purchased this stamp set (One of a Kind) and I wanted to try it out and this was the perfect card for it. I made my own decorative paper by stamping the smaller flower stamps repeatedly on my Pretty in Pink card stock using Pretty in Pink ink. Then I used my white gel pen for some white accent dots.

On the main image panel I stamped the larger flower and colored it using my Pretty in Pink SU marker. I then added a black button and I tied a small piece of black and white gingham ribbon in the center.

I didn't have any lace to put on my card like on Shannon's card, so I decided to add a small strip of black card stock instead. I used the faux stitching technique on my card. My ribbon is SU.

Hi everyone! Well, the weekend is here and today wasn't really all that busy for me. It's been raining all day and cold and gloomy. My husband was just saying that it's soon time to take the air conditioners out of the windows. Before you know it fall will be here and I'll be raking up leaves in the back yard!

Well, on to my card for today! Today's splitcoast challenge is an inspiration challenge. I chose this shirt for the inspiration for my card. I do not have very Halloween stamps, but I did find a Halloween cat stamp that's similar to the cat on the shirt that I chose.

I just stamped my image and colored it using my SU watercolor pencils and blender pen. I layered my image using Only Orange and Black card stock and then I used the faux stitching technique all along the edges. My sentiment is from the same stamp set A Haunting We Will Go and my ribbon is from Offray. I hope you all are having a great weekend so far! Now I'm off to check out Sunday's featured stamper!!!

Happy Friday! I really liked the challenge for today, but I didn't have time to make a card for it, so I'll have to try tomorrow. I did make this card yesterday so I thought I could post it for today.

My sister in law gave me some SU items that she purchased awhile ago and she's decided that she doesn't have time for stamping. I wanted to make her a thank you card using one of the stamp sets that she gave me and this is what I came up with. I know she likes rubber duckies because her one bathroom is all duckies!

I really liked the way the ducky was made on this card, so I used it to get me started with mine.

I stamped the duck using Yo-Yo Yellow; and boy was it bright! I ended up using my Watercolor crayons and blender pen to try and tone down the yellow, it's still bright, but not nearly as bad.

Then using my stamp-a-ma-jig I stamped the Brilliant Blue hat and Only Orange beak. I stamped the wheels using Real Red and then I punched them out and adhered them to my card. I decided to add a ribbon around the duck's neck and a thinner ribbon for the pull string of the duck. My sentiment is from SU's Great Greeting's stamp set.
Well, it's getting pretty late now and I'm off to bed. My baby didn't sleep very well last night and my older daughter isn't feeling very well, so I really need my rest tonight! Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone! My husband's grandmother came over for a visit and I really didn't have too much house work to do, so I was able to visit and take it easy today.

I did have time for a quick challenge card. This is my card for today's ways to use it challenge. For today's challenge we were to find ways to use the color red. Well, with Christmas not being too far away I decided to make yet another Christmas card. I'm not sure if I'm happy with my card, I might have to try and make this one again.

The candy cane stamp that I used to make my card is from an older SU stamp set called Holiday Blocks. I've always wanted to make a candy cane card using this stamp and today's challenge was the perfect opportunity to ink up this image.

My card was really quick and easy to make. I just stamped the candy cane image three times using Real Red ink and then I punched them out using my square punch (1 1/4") and the Real Red layer using another square punch (1 3/8").

Using my scor-pal I embossed horizontal lines on my white background paper. I was trying to mimic the pattern of the candy canes. I also decided to keep my card red and white, the color of candy canes. The sentiment I used is from SU's Season's Greetings and my ribbon is from Offray. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Today has been a super busy day for me. I've finally finished up my canning for this year. My husband and I canned tomatoes, and peppers & onions. I also did a case of canned tomatoes for my brother in law. My husband said we should can more things, but sometimes I think it's just not worth all the work when some items I can buy cheap enough in the grocery store. I'm glad that I've finished canning and that my kitchen is back to normal.

This is my card for yesterday's color challenge. The colors for the challenge were Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, and Black. Well, as soon as I saw the colors for the day it made me think of my DD Grapes stamp set. This was one of the very first stamp sets that I purchased.

I stamped the grapes using Elegant Eggplant, the ivy using Old Olive, and for the black I ended up using the splatter stamp from SU's Itty Bitty Backgrounds and I stamped over the entire panel using black Stazon ink. I had a hard time trying to incorporate the black into my card, so I decided to just add a small piece of black card stock using my Martha Steward lace punch.

The sentiment is from SU's Small Script stamp set and my ribbon is from Offray! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone! Today is the first day for my son's preschool. He goes to school three days a week and it gives me some free time to get some stamping done, or house work so my husband thinks...LOL He'd better not be reading this ;)

My card for today is a super quick and simple card. I bought this decorative paper at Michael's a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting a chance to play with some of it. The dp is DCWV and it's called the Sweet Glitter stack. My ribbon I bought at the Offray outlet store near me. I almost always use Offray ribbon, it's so much cheaper than SU's ribbon and I think it's just as nice.

I just cut some decorative paper and placed it on my white card base, and then I tied some pink ribbon along the edge of the dp. I decided to make this a birthday card. I'm always in need of birthday cards, which is why I seem to make them all the time. My birthday sentiment is from SU's It's Your Birthday.

Happy Monday! I won't be home most of the day today. We are going to my mother in laws house for lunch and then again for supper. I love not having to cook!

Well, it's Monday and it's that time again! Time for Monday's clean & simple challenge. Today's challenge is a ways to use it challenge. We were to create a card using dimensionals (pop up dots).

I decided to make another Christmas card. I've been making lots of holiday cards lately. I'm still hoping that I'll have enough holiday cards created throughout the year and it won't be so hectic once I'm ready to send them out. I sort of like the idea of having them all made ahead of time.

Here's what I did to create my card. (It was really easy to make). First, I took a scrap piece of paper and I stamped the tree image. Then I stamped some snowflakes along the top of the trees, next I sponged the background using Brocade Blue ink making the sponging heavier at the top and lighter towards the bottom.

Then all I did was to carefully punch out four squares using my 1 1/4" square punch and then adhere them to my Night of Navy background paper. For the top of my window I created a valance using a scrap piece of decorative paper and I used my scallop border punch along the bottom edge.

For the top of the window treatment I just punched a few holes and threaded some silver cording and then ended it with two brads, to make it look like a curtain rod. The valance part of my window is adhered to my card using dimensionals. It might be hard to see in my picture, but I finished my card by adding some DD glitter along the bottom of the trees. My sentiment is from SU’s Snow Swirled.

Hi everyone! It's another super busy weekend in our house. I'm busy canning tomatoes and green & hot peppers. It's going to take me a day or two to get my canning finished, but I like doing it and the tomatoes make the best soups in the winter time.

We got our tomatoes and peppers straight from the local farmers, in fact we picked them ourselves, talk about hard work! That's one job I wouldn't want. My poor husband is complaining of a sore back, his legs hurt, and he's tired. I told him to get to bed early and this way I can catch up on my blogging!

Here's my submission for today's featured stamper on splitcoast stampers. Today's featured stamper is LMcAree. I picked this card to case because I really liked how she created her background.

So, I kept the same background and layout, but I changed the stamped image and colors. I decided to create a fall card and I used the pumpkin stamp from SU's Little Layers II. I stamped the image using Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive classic inks and then using my watercolor crayons and blender pen I colored in the image. Next, I punched out the Pumpkin Pie cardstock with a scalloped circle punch and my main image using a circle punch.

My background is created using my score-bug and scor-pal and my ribbon is from Offray.

Not much time for stamping today. I've been really busy this weekend and right now my husband is at a concert, so I'm here with the kids trying to get them ready for bed and to top that off, I've started making some homemade perogies that I need to finish.

Happy Friday! I'm posting a bit later tonight; it's been a super busy day! I took the kids to the library today and they each picked out some books and a movie. I usually take them once a week and they really enjoy it. My older daughter handed in a volunteer form and she hopes to be able to volunteer on Saturdays. I'm secretly hoping that they call her because she really needs something to do, plus I'm thinking it will teach her some responsibility.

Earlier today I saw a blog challenge. The challenge is on Sheila's blog and it was to create a card using fall colors. This is my very first blog challenge, so I'm hope that I am doing this correctly. The stamp set she is offering was our inspiration piece for our card. Once I saw the cat image in TAC stamp set I right away thought of this image that I have.

I decided to use the cat in the pumpkin stamp from SU's A Haunting We Will Go. I came across this pattern paper and I decided to use those colors for my card (Really Rust, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, and White). I stamped my image using Black Stazon ink and its colored using Watercolor crayons and a blender pen. The Pumpkin Pie card stock layer is embossed using my Cuttlebug and Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder.

I ended up adding some sponging along the white base layer, it just seemed too white to me. My sentiment is from a Studio G fall stamp set (series 20). I also did some paper piercing in each corner of my main image. I also used an EK Success border punch, and large & small oval punches on my card. My ribbon is from Offray and the brads are SU.

I'd like to say thank you to Sheila for an opportunity to win an Angel Co. stamp set. I don't have any TAC stamp sets, so I'm crossing my fingers....he....he!

Good Morning! Yesterday Miss Boo (Jen) has announced the new Autumn Design Team for her weekly Clean & Simple challenges on splitcoast stampers. And what a surprise it was to discover that I have been chosen as a DT member for this term! I am so honored and excited and I'd like to thank Jen and the former DT members for giving me this wonderful opportunity!



A few days ago I shared a few pictures of my son and baby daughter, so today I thought I would share with you all a picture of my oldest daughter. Today was her first day of school and ever since she was little I have always taken a picture of her on the first day of school and every year she complains about it, but I do it anyway...LOL Someday she'll thank me for it!

She started high school today, oh where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was taking her picture while she was headed off to her first day of kindergarten.

It was pretty quiet here without her, but she really likes school and I think she was looking forward to getting back to school and with her friends.



My card for today is for the weekly sketch challenge. The weather here is so nice and cool and it reminds me of fall, so I decided to create a fall card today. The image is from SU's Happy Fall Y'All. I'm not quite sure that I like this card, maybe it's the image that I don't like. My husband isn't too crazy about this stamp set and I usually take his opinion to heart.

Anyway, I stamped the image and colored it using Watercolor Crayons and a blender pen. I stamped the pumpkin, colored, and cut it out and added it to the main image. The More Mustard background is embossed using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Leafy Branch. The Old Olive layer is stamped using Old Olive ink and the leaf/square stamp from the same stamp set.

I wasn't quite sure where I should place my sentiment, so I decided to add it sideways long the left side. My other added embellishments were twine and a button. Thanks so much for looking and I hope you all had a wonderful day!
