White Holiday Ornaments

I'm back with another post for today.  I wanted to make a card for this week's ABC Blog Challenge and this week's challenge is to create a holiday card using bling.  I love all white cards and so I decided to create an all white Christmas card using bling.

I also made this card for the following challenges-
Creative Craft Challenge2- which was to make a white on white Christmas card.
Tuesday Throwdown- white Christmas
Cupcake Craft Challenges- It'll be All White on the Night
Crafts and Me Challenges- Anything Goes With An Optional Christmas Ornament

My card is really just a matter of dry embossing and die cutting.  I began making my card by dry embossing the top portion of my background.  I left the bottom 1" or so unembossed so that I could stamp my Merry Christmas sentiment.

My next two layers were cut using the window framelits and the larger layer was paper pierced along the edges using my festive paper piercing pack and paper piercing tool.

To create the ornaments I cut them out using the holiday ornament framelit dies and then I dry embossed them.  The largest ornament was dry embossed using the lacy brocade embossing folder and then I tied some sliver cording at the top.  The upper smaller ornament was dry embossed using my fancy fan embossing folder and then I die cut a tiny bit of glimmer paper for the top of the ornament.  The next smaller ornament was just die cut and I added two rows of dry embossing using my simply score tool and then in the middle I added a row of basic jewels and then I tied on some sliver cording at the top of the ornament.

Here's a tip when embossing and die cutting- cut first, then emboss!  Trust me, it works out much nicer this way.

I hope you will join us and play along this week at ABC Challenges!  Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow.  I will be posting another all white card!
