Twisted Tuesday~ School Days Challenge

Hi everyone!  Today's Twisted Tuesday Challenge is sure to be a fun one!  School Days is the inspiration for our challenge this week and the twist is that we had to use chalk somewhere on our creation.  I haven't use chalks in so long that I had to literally dig and hunt for them, whew....!  I thought I didn't have them anymore, but I found them.

I began making my card by first stamping my image and then coloring it using my SU chalks.  TIP- it really helps to prevent smearing or smudging if you spray your finished image with hair spray.  It even helps to brighten up the colors a bit too.

After that it was just a matter of putting together my card.  I used the labels framelits to cut out the bashful blue layer behind my image panel and I used my scallop trim border punch along the bottom part of my red designer series paper.  Just along the bottom portion of my bashful blue card stock I added two rows of paper piercing and for my embellishments I decided to use ribbon and some pearls.

Be sure to check out the other design team member's cards!

Thanks for the hairspray tip. I always used water but then that meant I had to use watercolor paper. Can't wait to give this a try. BTW, Thank you also, for your reply, I did see it :}

Very cute card. Love the different spin on the back to school theme.

I recently dug out my chalks too! They are SU and about circa 2000!!! LOL I think my card post on Friday that I colored with it. I did not know about the hairspray, thanks!
