I hope everyone had a great weekend! They seem to fly so fast these days, don't they?
I wanted to post a quick message to let you know that I probably won't be posting any cards for another day or two. The cord to my laptop computer is broken and my husband had to order me another one. He found one on eBay for a couple dollars and it might even be here tomorrow.
I can't use my laptop without the cord because the battery doesn't hold a charge either. Sounds like I need a new computer, right? Well, maybe Santa will bring me one :)
Have a great week and I'll keep myself busy making some cards so that I have some to post once my computer is up and running again.
Enjoy your week!
Welcome to my stamping blog! I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I hope you enjoy the projects I share with you here. If you have any questions on any of the projects shown feel free to send me an email and I'll be happy to help you. I'd love to have you follow me too!

Good Morning and happy Friday! This is my last DT card submission for FireCracker Designs.
It's been such a pleasure and I have truly loved working with Pamela's digi images! The digi image I used today is called Buncha Daisies.
After printing the image I colored it using my SU markers. I added a bit of highlights using my white gel pen.
I drew a border around my image using my SU marker and my sentiment is stamped and layered using my SU punches.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog; I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Today I'm going to work on making some things for a bake sale for my husband's grandmother and my brother in law is still visiting with us. The kids love having him visit and my son doesn't want Uncle Brian to go home!

Ask and ye' shall receive. My brother in law is staying with us for a few days and he said that he had to get his wife a birthday card. No need to buy one, I can whip one up in no time! Plus I wanted to make a card for Splitcoast's weekly sketch challenge.
The sketch this week is a great one, just perfect for CAS cards. You can find this week's sketch here if you'd like to play along. My card was real quick and easy to make, I simply stamped my image and colored it using my SU markers.
I used my white gel pen for the center of the flowers and I stamped and cut out one additional flower for the exclamation point in my sentiment.
I didn't have any pink ribbon, so the pink ribbon on my card was colored using my SU markers. My green ribbon was a piece of scrap that I had left over.
Thanks for dropping by!

I'm much happier with the card I am posting today. I guess this is more of a summery card than the one I posted yesterday. This was a real quick and easy card to make.
I simply stamped the flower image and then colored it using my SU markers. I used my scallop border punch along the bottom edge of my decorative paper. Just below my scallop border I added a bit of decorative paper piercing. I did this free handed, but I still think it turned out okay.
To help finish off my card I added a pink button with a small ribbon tied in the center.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great day! I'm going to try and make a card for today's Splitcoast sketch challenge and post it tomorrow- it looks like a great sketch this week.

I'm not totally loving this card, but I sure had fun with it. Yesterday was the first day of summer and hubby asked me why I didn't make a summer card. So I decided to look through my stamps and see what summery card I could come up with and then I got thinking.
Ice cream is my favorite treat and my two younger children are my ice cream eating buddies LOL. They love ice cream as much as I do and it's one of our family's favorite things to do together after a hot summer day. So the bear can be me and she's thinking.....keep away from my ice cream...!!!
I stamped the bear and colored it using my SU markers. The ice cream cones were stamped, colored, and cut out.
My background paper was stamped repeatedly using the 'grrreat' sentiment from SU's Under the Stars stamp set.
Stamps: Under the Stars
Card Stock: White, Mint Melody, Creamy Caramel, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Brown Stazon, Pretty in Pink, Mint Melody
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Marker, Scissors, 2 Way Glue Pen, White Gel Pen, SU Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Crimper

I hope you all had a great weekend and a nice Father's Day holiday. Today I thought I would share the card I made for my son to give to my husband for Father's Day.
I didn't want to post this earlier because hubby reads my blog everyday and I didn't want him to see this card until yesterday. It took me about an hour to make this card. My background is embossed using my Cuttlebug and tiny bubbles embossing folder.
My sandy floor is just torn card stock, and then I stamped on it using the splatter stamp from the SU Itty Bitty Borders stamp set. The rest of my card was assembled using cut outs, die cuts, and punches. The clam, starfish, and sea shell are all from the SU stamp set Crab & Company.
The two fish are die cuts from a Cuttlebug die called 'Fish' and the seaweed is actually punched out using my Martha Stewart Branch Punch. I punched the branches using a few different colors of green card stock and then I just glued them together to resemble seaweed.
My sentiment was computer generated and it reads- I want to be just like you when I grow up.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

The song I chose for my card is "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head"! I've had that song stuck in my head all day, and now you will too!!
The digi image I used on my card is called Spring Showers. I printed out my digi image, heat set it using my heat gun, and then I colored it using my SU markers. Then I decided to add some white dots to the umbrella using my white gel pen.
I made my square scalloped frame by using both my scallop trim border and my scallop trim corner punches.
The sentiment reads: April showers to bring May flowers. I hope you like my card!

The official start time of this Hop is Friday, at 8:00 AM (EST). If you arrived early, please be patient as all the links may not be live yet.
I'd also like to welcome the designers from PaperTemptress to our blog hop.
This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)
The winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!
**To find out if you’ve won… you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out on Pamela's blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**
Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to Linda's blog and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

Good Morning! I'm up early today and I'm hoping to get a head start on my errands and house work. I made this card using a digi image from FireCracker Designs by Pamela. The image I used on my card is called 'For the Birds'.
The image was printed and then I heat set it using my heat gun. You will want to be sure to heat set your images to keep them from smearing. I usually do mine for at least 30 seconds.
Once it cooled off, I began coloring using my SU markers. When I was finished coloring I added a white dot in the center of the flowers using my white gel pen.
My background is embossed using my Cuttlebug and D' Vine Swirls embossing folder. I chose this folder because I thought it closely resembled the swirls in the digi image.
I'm also submitting my card for today's ways to use it challenge on Splitocast. Today's challenge was to find ways to use ribbon. I have shared this tip before several times, but for those of you who may not know this- I don't always have just the right color ribbon that I may need for my cards.
So I sometimes end up coloring my ribbon using my SU markers, which is what I did on this card. If you try this, you'll want to make sure to color both sides of your ribbon and most importantly, you need to let it dry completely.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I'm so very grateful for all of my followers. I truly enjoy sharing my work with you all! Tomorrow I will be posting my card for FireCracker Designs' blog hop. Be sure to stop on by and join in on the fun!

I finally had a chance to make a card for Monday's Splitcoast clean & simple challenge. This week's challenge was a theme challenge and we were to create cards using things that fly.
My son is invited to a birthday party for one of his friends at his preschool so I thought this space ship image would be just perfect for a birthday card. I colored my image using my SU water color crayons and a blender pen. I added some dots on the blue part of the space ship using my white gel pen.
I decided to add a few decorative score lines (using my scor-pal) on my background. On top of my ribbon, I placed a button with a small peice of ribbon tied through it.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow because I'll be posting my card for this week using a digi image from FireCracker Designs. Have a great day!

Hi everyone! I have a quick card to share with you all today. I followed this week's sketch from the Clean & Simple stamping blog found here. Father's Day is this weekend so I figured I'd better get started making some Father's Day cards.
This week is a really easy sketch and so this card went together quickly. I colored my image using my SU watercolor crayons and a blender pen. Water coloring isn't a technique that I do very often, but I really like my results and I should break out my crayons more often.
I decided not to add any embellishments on my card; I wanted to keep it 'clean & simple'.
The picture on the right side is the sketch we were to follow this week. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great rest of the day!

This is the card I made for yesterday's Splitcoast featured stamper challenge. This week's featured stamper is LeAnne Pugliese, congratulations LeAnne! This is her card that I decided to case. I loved the way she stamped her images and I wanted to give it a try.
I know it's hard to see in my picture, but there is another image stamped behind my main black images. I used the same stamp set, but I decided to use different images than LeAnne did on her card.
For the colors I chose, I ended up using black like LeAnne, but I decided to go with gray for my second color and LeAnne used sahara sand. My layout is similar to hers, but I did change it up a bit and I decided to emboss my background and add a sentiment.
I thought this card might make a nice anniversary card since my anniversary is coming up in just two weeks.
Thanks for visiting!

Happy Friday! I spent most of last night finishing up some baking that I was doing for our local fireman's bazaar bake sale and I even baked an extra coffee cake for my husband.
My card for today uses this lovely digi image from FireCracker Designs by Pamela.
This is such a pretty image and really easy to color. I simply printed out the digi image off of my computer and then I heat set it using my heat gun.
Next, I colored the pansies and leaves using my SU markers. I bet these pansies would look great in all sorts of colors! Once I had my image colored I simply assembled my card. I added two rows of paper piercing just along the bottom of my card. I also added a little bit of paper piercing in each corner of my main image panel.
My certainly celery dp is from SU and I just folded over the top 1/2" of the paper. I also added a little bit of glitter along some of the flowers and my ribbon is from Offray.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi everyone! This is my card for this week's CAS-tastic challenge. This week's challenge was to create a cas card using a button. If you would like to play along, this week's CAS-tastic challenge can be found here.
Buttons are something that I find myself not using very often and they seem to be a popular embellishment, so I really enjoyed this challenge.
I decided to try out some of my new cuttlebug folders that my husband found for me at our local Big Lots.
I simply embossed the upper portion of my background and then I added two decorative score lines just below my embossed area.
My button is tied in along with my ribbon treatment. First I tied my blue ribbon along my card. Then I took a more narrow white ribbon and I tied that through the center of my button. Once I was finished tying my ribbon through the center of my button I simply placed my button on top of my blue ribbon using a glue dot, easy peasy!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm off to work on making some baked items for our local Fire company’s bazaar which starts tomorrow. Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow because I will be posting a card I made using another awesome digi image from FireCracker Designs by Pamela.

Hi everyone! I made this card for this week's Clean & Simple stamping blog sketch challenge found here. I decided to do a little more stamping than would usually do, but I really like these flower images.
My background was really quick and easy to make. I didn't even do any masking, I just inked and stamped. First I stamped the flowers, then the flower centers, and then the leaves.
I discovered this color combination while I was looking at my SU color wheel the other day.
The photo on the right is the sketch that we were to follow for this week's challenge.

Hi everyone! Today I'm posting the card I made for the Stamps R Us Blog challenge blog that I belong to. (I wanted to edit my post to let everyone know that our challenge blog has been deleted. I'm sorry. If we get our blog back up and running again, I'll post the link on my side bar.)
We host monthly challenges and we welcome everyone to play along.
My images were stamped and colored using my SU markers. My main daisy image was stamped twice and the second image is popped up using dimensionals.
My flower border background strip is stamped from the longer border stamp in the same set. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to put in the corners of my card, so I just started playing with my punches and this what I came up with.
It might be hard to see in my picture, but I added some glitter on my daisy image. I decided not to add a sentiment on my card, sometimes I like to have a card with out so that it can be used for different occasions.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please join us and play along in our monthly challenges.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a nice weekend, got some shopping done and several things crossed off of my 'to do list'.
My card for today is for yesterday's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast. This week's featured stamper is nikkisschmaltz and this is her card that I decided to case.
I used the same daisy stamp and Cuttlebug embossing folder, but I changed the colors and I used a different sentiment. I also changed the layout a little bit on my card.
I would have kept my card a one layer card like Nikki's, but I ended up changing my card and I layered it onto a white card base. I did this because I didn't want my ribbon to be seen on the inside of my card.
I colored the daisy stamp using my SU markers and then I stamped it onto my card stock. Then I added some glitter over the flowers.
Thanks so much for visiting; I hope you liked my card!

Hi everyone! This week just seemed to fly by for me. My family and I are looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend and maybe a little stamping time for myself too. I used an image from FireCracker Designs by Pamela to create my card.
This is one of my favorite digi images from FireCracker Designs because it is super quick and easy to color and I can just picture how pretty those flowers would be in all sorts of different colors.
I printed out the digi image and then I heat set it using my heat gun, that's important and you'll want to remember to do this step. It really does make a big difference and I never have a problem with my digi images smearing.
Next, I colored the image using my SU markers- I used Apricot Appeal for the flower centers and Certainly Celery for the leafy swirls. My image was cut using my Coluzzle and Coluzzle oval template and I used corner rounder punch to create my black scalloped layer. If you would like to see my tutorial on how I use my corner round punch to create my scalloped ovals you will find it here.
I am also entering my card for week's Stamp Something weekly blog challenge. This week's challenge is to use any digi image or sentiment and create a project with it.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Stamps: Digi Birthday Ring Image- from FireCracker Designs by Pamela
Card Stock: White, Certainly Celery, Black, Certainly Celery DP- is from SU's 6x6 pattern pack

I was looking through my punches today and I saw my spiral punch and thought that I should use it again. I recently made two film strip cards found here and here, but I thought this time I'd like to make one using ladybugs.
I colored the ladybugs using my SU markers and then I punched them out using my square punch. I tried to punch them so that it looked like it was flying across the 'film strip'.
I added some dots using my white gel pen on my real red card stock. Then I added a punched edging using black card stock and my spiral punch just along the left side of my card.
My sentiment is from SU's Love Bug stamp set and my ribbon is from Offray. Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow.

I've had this card sitting in my 'upload basket' and I was debating whether or not I wanted to post it, but here goes.
This is my first attempt using this stamp set! I love how versatile this stamp set is, I'm thinking snowflakes in the winter time and I also purchased the stamp set Little Flowers because I thought those flowers would go nicely on this tree.
The butterfly image, which I stamped using the rock n roll technique for is from SU's Hello again; as well as my sentiment.
I had help making this card because as I was stamping the tree and the flowers my 5 year old son told me that I needed to add some leaves. And after stamping the leaves, I sort of liked it. I think my son is the only 5 year old boy that knows what a stamp-a-ma-jig is.....LOL
So basically stamping my card was pretty easy. I (or should I say, we) just stamped the tree, flowers, the leaves, and finally the butterfly and my sentiment.
My main panel is layered onto certainly celery card stock (BTW- certainly celery my favorite green color, can ya tell? And I'm so glad it's not included in one of the 29 retiring colors). And lastly we added the checkered grosgrain ribbon along the top and I added the small piece of chocolate chip ribbon as an accent.
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

June 1, 2010
WOW! It's hard to believe that it's June already. Summer is certainly here and it sure was a hot one today.
I'm very excited to share with all of you that I have been chosen as a Guest Digi DT member for FireCracker Designs by Pamela. She has some beautiful digi images, so be sure to stop on by and check them out!
The card I am posting today is one that I made for a previous CAS challenge on Splitocast stampers. The challenge was to create a shabby chic CAS card.
I had to take a moment to look this one up; I wasn't sure exactly what shabby chic was. I'm thinking that this isn't quite my style of card making. I'm not very good at making distress cards, but I wanted to give this challenge a try.
I decided to use my Roses in Winter stamp set. I created my main image panel using Pretty in Pink for the flowers, and Mellow Moss for the leaves. On some parts of my images I stamped off first to make them appear lighter in color.
I randomly stamped my roses and leaves all over my card stock. Then using the small splatter stamp from the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set, I stamped all over everything using So Saffron ink. I did this to help create more of a distressed look. I also distressed the edges of my Pretty in Pink layer using my scissors.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Have a great day and be sure to stop on by tomorrow!
