Well, today was another busy one for me. My daughter had a dentist appointment and then I had to take her to the mall. She's signed up for American Eagle AERIE's membership and every month Aerie is giving away a free gift on Thursday's. This month's free gift is a gym bag and I wanted to make sure she got it because I thought she could use it for school this year.
My card for today’s is for the ways to use it challenge on splitcoast stampers. For today's challenge we were to find ways to use Variegated Color. It could be using some variegated ribbon, variegated thread, yarn, paper, etc.
I found this ribbon in my drawer and I decided to use that for some inspiration for my card. The colors for my card came from the ribbon I used. The stamp set that I used is called Snappy Starts and would you believe that I pulled it out of my sell pile? So I decided to put it to use.
I ended up using a Kaleidacolor spectrum ink pad for my main image. After I stamped my image with the spectrum ink pad I decided that I wanted to add some glitter over my image. So I used my VersaMark ink pad and iridescent Ice embossing powder and then I heat embossed the glitter. You can sort of see the glitter effect in my picture.

My Pink Passion paper is stamped using the small flower from the stamp set. Again, I used the Versa Mark ink pad, but I didn't emboss this time. I used my white gel pen for the center of the flowers. I used a small strip of Green Galore card stock along the background of my card. My variegated ribbon is from Offray. Thanks for stopping by!
