Happy Friday to you all!!! Here's my card for today's limited supply challenge. For today's challenge we were to create a card using a food type image and using only colors with food type/edible names.
Well, I have to say that this really was a challenge for me. These colors are way out of my comfort zone and I'm still not sure if I like this card, my daughter was even helping me try and figure this one out.
I ended up using several different ink pads on my card. I used the rock and roll technique for the fruit and the colors I used were: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Only Orange, Apricot Appeal, and So Saffron. My cardstock colors were: Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron.
All I did to make my card was stamp and punch (using 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches). When my card was finished I felt that it still needed a little something so I decided to add some glitter along the outside of my fruit.
My sentiment is from SU's Crazy for Cupcakes and my ribbon is from Offray.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to post this weekend because we are going to be busy. We are planning on finishing staining our deck and I was hoping to take the kids swimming. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
