I just love this chocolate bunny stamp and I decided to use it again for today's splitocast sketch challenge.

I stamped the bunny and cut him out. I placed him over my sponged sky background, and then I added some grass and a few Easter eggs along the bottom.

I embossed my background using the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder and then I colored each of the flower centers yellow with my SU marker.

Except for my ribbon, everything I used to make my card is from Stampin Up.

Thanks so much for dropping in, have a wonderful day!

You should see the snow that we are getting today! I can't believe it, but I don't think this snow will stick around very long.

The weather forecast for this weekend is saying that the temperatures are going to be in the 70s! I certainly didn't expect this snow today and the roads are really bad. I had to pick up my son from preschool and I didn't even have a snow brush in the car because I had put everything away already. I'll be glad when winter is really over!

In hopes for some really lovely weather this weekend, here is a spring card that my daughter made and another Easter card that I made.

I've seen so many of these cute Chocolate Bunny cards lately and I wanted to try making one. I sort of cased myself using this card that I made a few weeks ago. I used the same fence border punch, grass, and Easter eggs.

I stamped the chocolate bunny and then I also used my mirror imaging stamp to get my image reversed. I used my scallop circle punch to 'bite' off the left bunny's ears. My eggs were stamped and then cut out. The fence is a Martha Stewart border punch and my grass was crimped and cut using my scissors. My background is sponged using bashful blue ink, a scrap scalloped circle and a sponge. The words Happy Easter and What are computer generated.

Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Flower Filled
Card Stock: White, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal
Supplies: Martha Stewart Fence Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scissors, Mirror Imaging Stamp, Scallop Circle Punch, Crimper
Technique: Sponging, Mirror Imaging (or reverse stamping)

This second card was made by my daughter. She made this card almost all by herself (I helped her with the ribbon).

She stamped the flowers along the bottom and colored them using SU markers and then she added some glitter on the flowers and along the bottom, grassy area.

She sponged her background the same way that I did on my previous card. Then she stamped the bunny, colored his ears and nose pink and then cut him out and placed him in the lower left corner in the grass.

The last thing she did was to create her tag. She just stamped Hello Spring and punched it using the small tag punch and the larger tag punch was used on the Certainly Celery layer.

So what do you think? Do I have another stamper in the family? I'm sure she would love to receive some comments on her card, please ;)

Stamps: Hello Spring
Card Stock: White, Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst
Ink: Black Stazon, Bashful Blue
Supplies: Ribbon, Large & Small SU Tag Punches, DD Glitter, 2 Way Glue Pen, Scissors- for cutting out the bunny, SU Markers, Stapler- for the tag
Technique: Sponging Pin It

I am so excited to tell you all that I have been chosen as a guest designer for Bugaboo stamps for the month of April.

Jodie has some really cute digi images and I love creating cards with them.
Bugaboo Stamps also has a blog and she will be offering 3 freebies once her blog reaches 300 followers. When her blog reaches 500 followers she will be offering some more freebies so be sure to spread the word around!

This is my submission for today's Clean & Simple challenge on Splitcoast stampers. Today's challenge was a sketch challenge based on this card made by Carly. I also thought this would make a perfect Mother's day card.

I stamped my flower image three times using three different color inks. I cut out the flower image squares and them placed them onto my black card stock. I punched both border edges of my black card stock using my Scallop Trim Border Punch.

My sentiment was stamped (it's only a portion of the stamp) and then I punched it using my word window punch and then it's layered using the SU Modern Label punch. Once my card was finished I decided to stamp and cut out two smaller flowers and I placed them along side my sentiment.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is my card for today's Splitcoast Featured Stamper challenge. Today's Featured stamper is (Beedubya), Congratulations, Brandi! This is her card that I decided to case.

I kept her same basic layout, but I added a layer behind my flower image and another layer towards the bottom of my card. I also used a different flower stamp and I've added some paper piercing along the bottom.

I stamped my flower and flower stem and then I stamped two smaller flowers, cut them out, and then placed them over top of my first stamped image. My Apricot Appeal card stock is stamped using Apricot Appeal ink using the medium size flower from the same stamp set.

I also made this card for the Stamps R Us blog group challenge in which we were to create a card using the distressing technique. This sure was a challenge for me since I hardly ever use distressing, but I decided to give it a try. I distressed the edges of my purple card stock and my stamped image layer using my scissors.

Feel free to join our Stamps R Us blog challenge found here. You have until March 31 to enter.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

TGIF! What a week for me and I'm so glad that it's over, but the Easter holiday will be coming up and that's another busy time for our family. I'll try to keep up and post everyday over Easter, but I might end up taking a few days off.

With Easter being right around the corner I am still in the process of making a few more bunny cards. This card might look a little familiar because I made one similar to it last week, but this time I have changed my coloring, my cardstock, and the ribbon that I used. I kept the same image and layout. Here is the other card that I made if anyone would like to see it.

I stamped my image and colored it using my SU markers. I added some paper piercing just above and below my stamped image; I also used some dimensionals underneath my image layer.

I decided to dig in my stash for some springy pattern paper. My plaid dp is from the DCWV Sweet glitter pack and my Certainly Celery DP is from a SU paper pack. My ribbon is from Offray.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And if I have time I'll try to post a card on Saturday or Sunday.

I also wanted to mention that I am selling my Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. I can't sell it on Splitcoast because it's a current set, so I thought I'd try here before eBay. Anyway, I'm asking $18 plus shipping. If you are interested you will find my email address located under my profile. Just click on the email link under the contacts section.

Hi everyone! My post has to be a quick one today. My son has preschool registration this afternoon and my husband's grandmother is coming over for a visit shortly.

I wanted to share with you my card for Wednesday's Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge. I'm still not quite sure if I'm happy with this card, but here it is. I'm thinking that I should have placed another layered on top of the certainly celery cardstock.

Anyway, my main flower image was colored using my SU markers and then stamped. I also stamped the butterfly image and then cut it out.

My background is embossed using the Birds & Swirls embossing folder. I used the ticket corner punch on each of my background corners. I wanted to brighten up my card a bit so I decided to use my white gel pen and place some dots all around my scalloped circle.

My sentiment is tiny, but I didn't want it to be large and take away from my flowers. I stamped the words horizontal rather than vertical like the image is. On the stamp the word 'mom' is actually under the words 'to my'.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Wish us luck at kindergarten registration- I have a feeling that my son won't talk to anyone, he's so very shy especially around people that he doesn't know.

Oh, I have one more thing to mention today (for those of you who read this far....LOL) I am selling my Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. I can't sell it on Splitcoast because it's a current set, so I thougth I'd try here before eBay. Anway, I'm asking $18 plus shipping. If you are interested you will find my email address located under my profile. Just click on the email link under the contacts section.

Yesterday I mentioned that I would share a few more Easter cards that I made. The chick image was another one of those stamps from the $1 bin at Michael's.

Both of my cards were quick and easy, it took longer to color in the image than it did to assemble my cards.

My first card is pretty easy to figure out. I just stamped the chick image and then colored it using my SU markers.

The one thing that I did differently on this card was my ribbon. I didn't have anything even close to this green color so I decided to take a piece of white grosgrain ribbon and I colored it using my SU marker.

It worked and I've done this before, but my main problem this time was that I couldn't get any of my adhesive to stick to the ribbon once I colored it. On the ribbon part I was able to finally get my tape runner adhesive to stick, but on the bow part of my ribbon I tried everything and the only thing that finally worked for me was crystal effects.

On my second card I again, stamped and colored my image using my SU markers, but my layout is a little bit different than my first card.

It might be hard to see in my picture, but I wanted to point out that I used my scor-pal to create a few decorative lines on the upper portion of my background. I just felt that the top part was too plain and sometimes just a touch of dry embossing will do the trick.

Thanks so much for stopping by and tomorrow I'll post the splitcoast sketch card that I made for today.

This is the card I made for Sunday's splitcoast Featured Stamper challenge. Sunday's featured stamper was Mutnik, congratulations! This is her card that I decided to case.

I decided use make an ice cream cone card almost like hers. I used a different ice cream image and I added some ribbon on my card.

I stamped the cone and ice cream and then I cut out the images. The best way I have found to ink up the vanilla ice cream scoop is to use Very Vanilla card stock and then ink it up with my VersaMark ink pad. I've added a few decorative score lines on the background of my card. I also applied some crystal effects over my ice cream scoops.

For my ribbon treatment I decided to try and mimic the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream scoops.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday. Tomorrow I'm going to post two more Easter cards that I made using the $1 Michael’s stamps.

Happy Spring! Yep, today is the first day of spring and I almost forgot. I love this time of year, it's not too hot, not too cold and best of all, our snow is gone!

I wanted to post the card that I made for Monday's clean & simple challenge. The challenge this week was a color challenge. We were to use shades of green and brown plus white or cream.

My card isn't as 'clean' as I would normally make, but it was really simple. I colored the tree stamps using my SU markers and then stamped then onto my card. The deer and owl images were inked, stamped, and then I cut them out.

My grass is Old Olive card stock that I crimped and then I cut small slits. I guess I should have sponged the sky, but I thought I'd better stay within the colors of the challenge. I didn't add a sentiment on the front of my card because I figured the front was busy enough and I can always stamp or write something inside.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all had a great first day of spring!

Yesterday I said that I would share one of the Easter cards that I made. I have a few more that I am working on and I'll be sure to post them next week.

I have very few Easter stamps and I was thinking of how I could make some more Easter cards with the stamps that I already have. I was reading what Monday's Splitcoast Stampers technique challenge was and then I found this egg stamp and it gave me an idea. (Monday's challenge was to create a card using decorative paper that we made).

I repeatedly stamped the egg stamp all over my card stock in order to make my own pattern paper using several different colors of SU ink. Then I punched the bottom using my scalloped border punch and I layered it onto a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock (which is also punched along the bottom). Then I added my Happy Easter Sentiment and my ribbon and bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Well, my husband really doesn't like this card, but I think it turned out okay. It's much prettier in person and super glittery. Sorry about the photo not being that great, I had a hard time trying to get a nice photo.

This is a large flower stamp that I have which hasn't seen any ink until now. It's a hard image to use because it's so large. I stamped the flower image and colored it using my SU Water Color crayons and a blender pen.

Once I was finished coloring I went over the lines of the flower petals with my VersaMark Marker and then I applied my Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat embossed it. Sometimes I prefer to heat emboss the glitter because it keeps the glitter from flaking off of the card.

I wanted to add some ribbon on my card so I thought a nice organdy ribbon would work.

Thanks for stopping by! I've been busy making some more Easter cards and I will post one of them tomorrow.

Hi everyone! I found a sketch challenge on Bugaboo's blog and I wanted to play along.
The challenge was just posted a few days ago, so there's still time to play. Jodie is offering some of her digi images for a prize.

The image I used is a Bugaboo image. I printed out my digi image and then I colored it using my SU markers. Once I was finished coloring I decided to add a few white dots on the egg using my white gel pen.

The photo below is of the sketch that we were to follow. I did some faux stitching along the edge of my Summer Sun card stock. My Take With Teal layer was punched using my SU scallop border punch.

I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to add in the lower right hand corner, but in the end I decided to go with some small punched circles and one small flower.

My background is half embossed using my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and just above my embossed area I added two decorative score lines using my score-pal.

Stamps: Bugaboo stamps Easter Chick Big Egg
Card Stock: White, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: None
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Markers, SU Boho Blossoms Punch, SU Scalloped Border Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch, Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, SU Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Scor-pal, White Gel Pen, 2 Way Glue, Pen

Tami posted about a challenge today on splitcoast stampers. The challenge is on her daughter's blog.

Here
is the challenge on Aly's blog if anyone would like to see it.

There's still a few hours left if anyone would like to play along. The challenge is a sketch challenge.

I used a digi image from bugaboo stamps. I thought this image would make a really cute Easter or spring card.

I printed the image and colored it with my SU markers. The ink was starting to smear when began my coloring. So I printed another image then I lightly went over it using my heat gun and I have to say I was very surprised, it really worked! So if anyone is having problems using digi images due to the ink smearing, try heat setting it first.

I punched out a few flowers using my SU Spring Bouquet flower punch. In the center of my flowers I added a small circle and then on top of that another tiny punched circle. The leaves on my flowers were punched using my new Martha Stewart Branch punch and in the lower right hand corner I added some punched corners.

My background is embossed using my cuttlebug and D'Vine embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far!

I made this card for todays free for all challenge on Splitcoast stampers. The free for all challenge was previously known as Friday's limited supply challenge.

Todays challenge was a fairy tale themed challenge. I kept thinking about what kind of card I could make, and then I started searching the internet. I found a Disney coloring sheet website that has coloring pages available.

My niece just love's Princess Belle and yellow is her very favorite color, so this will be her birthday card this year, she's going to love it!

In my first picture here I wanted to show my before and after results. I also wanted to show the markers that I used so that you would be able to see all of the different colors on my coloring.

For the skin tone I did do some water coloring using my Blush Blossom water color crayon and a blender pen. Everything else was colored using my markers.

Once my coloring was finished I was getting ready to assemble my card and I was trying to decide on the layout I wanted to use. Sometimes when I'm stuck I'll go back through the sketch challenges on splitcoast stampers and I'll pick one of them to use. You can find the sketch gallery here.

My background is embossed using my Cuttlebug and D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. I used my scallop edge punch along the Pretty in Pink layer and I used my photo corners punch for the small Barely Banana photo corner.

It's hard to see in my picture and I wanted to mention that my Barely Banana layer is stamped, tone on tone, using the small swirly stamp from SU's Priceless stamp set.

In my first photo it's hard to see the glitter that I added on Princess Belle's dress so I tried to get a better, close up photo, of it (which you can see in my last picture to the right).

Card Stock: White, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Ink: Barely Banana
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Markers, Scallop Border Punch, Photo Corner Punch, VersaMark Marker, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Cuttlebug, D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder, Water Color Crayons, Blender Pen

I came across a clean & simple blog challenge posted here while I was looking at Lynn's blog the
other day and I decided to play along.

The photo below is the sketch that I followed. It's a pretty easy sketch and my card only took me a few minutes to make.

I stamped the bees and then colored them a bit using my Yo-Yo Yellow marker. Then I wanted to add just a touch of blue and I decided to use my Bliss Blue water color crayon and blender pen. Water coloring is a great alternative when you want a lighter touch with your color.

I also water colored the bee's faces using a mix of Blush Blossom and Barely Banana crayons.

My bee images are layered onto black card stock and I used my circle punches to punch the circles.

It might be hard to see in my picture but I did add some dazzling diamonds glitter on the wings of the bees and I also added some decorative scoring above and just below the bees.

I wasn't quite sure about the yellow ribbon because it's kind of bright, but I decided to go with it anyway.

Thanks so much for stopping! Have a great stampin day!

Good evening! I'm a bit late posting today, but better late than never, right! I made this card for today's sketch Splitcoast challenge. I kept the sketch almost the same, but I had to make my image layer a bit wider and once my card was finished I realized that I missed a layer, but I decided to upload my card anyway.

I colored my stamp using my SU markers and then I stamped the image onto my card stock. Next I inked up the grass image and then stamped that on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp it over my flower image. I wanted the color of the grass to be slightly lighter than the green leaves and stems. I actually stamped my flower image twice because I made a mistake the first time and I decided to cut out one of the (not messed up) flowers and use that on my card as well. So if it looks like there's an extra flower on my card, there is (this stamp only has three flowers, not four).

My sentiment is stamped and punched using the large oval punch and layered onto Summer Sun card stock which I punched with my scalloped oval punch and I have it tucked under my Old Olive green layer, so it looks like half of an oval. I decided that the upper left hand corner still needed a little something and I decided to use a photo corner (I forgot about that punch).

For my ribbon treatment, I found a buckle from my SU Hodge Podge hardware kit and I threaded my ribbon through and then I tucked my ribbon behind my Old Olive layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night!

Today's card is another Easter card. I was looking through my stamps trying to see if I had any other stamp that I could use to make some Easter cards. I really don't have many Easter images, but I did find this Easter basket image. I usually have a hard time using smaller stamps, but I decided to give this image a try.

First I stamped the basket image on my white card stock. Then I stamped the image again on my Creamy Caramel card stock and then I cut out the basket part and adhered it to first stamped image. Next, I colored in the eggs and then I started working on assembling my card.

I found my dp in my box of scraps (I had some left over from the other day) and I layered it onto my Pretty in Pink cardstock and I did some faux stitching along the bottom of it. My Certainly Celery dp layer was also from my box of scraps and I punched it using my scallop border punch.

So don't throw away those scraps, they are great for making cards; especially CAS cards! Thanks so much for looking!

Stamps: Festive Four
Card Stock: White, Certainly Celery, Certainly Celery DP, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Plaid DP is from DCWV Paper Pack

Happy Monday! And to start off my week I made two cards for today's CAS (clean & simple) challenge. Today's challenge was to layer two different shapes on our cards.

The shapes I used on my Easter card are circles and squares. My card has more layers on it than I usually use, but I think it's still clean and simple, my card was really quick to make and hardly any coloring.

The pink square on my background is actually four smaller pink squares. My bunny image is layered onto a pink circle and a white scalloped circle. I used my scallop border punch along the bottom of my patterned and pink card stock.

The bunny image is from a $1 stamp that I picked up at Michael’s yesterday. I thought he was so cute and I just had to buy him. This is the first time I've ever purchased and of the $1 stamps and the first time I'm using one. I'll have to be sure and check the dollar bin next time I go shopping!

Stamps: Bunny- $1 stamp from Michael’s, Sentiment- Studio G series 45
Card Stock: White, Pretty in Pink, DCWV pattern paper
Ink: Black Stazon
Supplies: Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, SU Marker- for the bunny image

And this is the second card that I made this card for today's CAS challenge. The shapes I used on this card are ovals and a rectangle.

I just stamped my flower image using my stamp-a-ma-jig and then I colored it a bit using my SU Markers. I added some white dots along the edges of my black scalloped layer.

It might be hard to see in my picture, but along the bottom of my card I added a few rows of paper piercing and a few score lines. Although I didn't add a sentiment on this card, I thougth it would be a really nice Mother's Day card.

Stamps: Both Way Blossoms
Card Stock: White, Black, Certainly Celery
Ink: Black Stazon
Supplies: Ribbon, SU Markers, Coluzzle, Corner Rounder Punch- for scalloped oval, Paper Piercing Tool, SU Mat Pack, Scor-pal, White Gel Pen, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Here's my submission for Monday's Mojo challenge. This is my very first time playing along with the Monday Mojo sketches. Here is the link if you would like more information and I also have sketch posted in the photo below.

I've wanted to make this card all week long and I finally put aside some time this evening to stamp. First I stamped my daisy using Summer Sun and then the outline is stamped using More Mustard. The center was stamped using Really Rust and then using the rock n roll technique I rolled the image onto my Chocolate Chip ink pad. There's also a small swirl stamp that I stamped just around the flower center using Really Rust ink.

I decided to make my own decorative paper using the smaller daisy stamp (from the same set) and I added a few accents using my white gel pen. My Summer Sun and Old Olive pieces of cardstock were punched using my scallop border punch.

To finish up my card I stamped, colored, and cut out the bee image, added my ribbon and sentiment, and once I was finished I decided to add some dazzling diamonds glitter.

I figured it's not too early to start thinking about Mother's Day cards so I stamped this one with my Happy Mother's Day sentiment.

Thanks for looking and I hope you all had a great weekend!

I made this card for the ways to use it challenge on Splitcoast. Today's challenge was to find ways to use games or things that we play on our cards.

I have an older Stampin Up stamp set called Games Galore and as soon as I read today's challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Do you remember playing this dots game? I used to love playing this game when I was younger. I remember playing this game during World Cultures class in high school, oh I hated that class! LOL I was good at dots, but not that class.

For my background I just added a few score lines using my scor-pal. On my Pumpkin Pie layer I embossed it using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used my border punches along the white and SU decorative paper layers.

For my main image I stamped the dots and then I drew in my hand the word HELLO. I added the flower and brad in the upper left hand corner and a few butterflies above my sentiment. My son was playing while I was making my card and he said I needed some butterflies; he even punched them out for me.

Make it a great day and thanks for visiting!

Happy Wednesday! I decided to make a card for today's Splitcoast stampers sketch challenge. Sketch challenges used to be my favorite challenges and I sort of got away from them, so I've been trying to make it a point to participate in them lately.

I stamped my image and colored it using my SU markers. I added a brad to the center of the wheel on the wheel barrel and some paper piercing in the upper left hand corner. My stamped image is adhered using dimensionals.

I decided to dig in my stash for some springy pattern paper. My plaid dp is from the DCWV Sweet glitter pack and my Certainly Celery DP is from SU. My ribbon is from Offray.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone! My post today has to be a quick one. I need to spend today catching up on my housework and laundry. Oh....a mother's job is never done, right?

I've been making some more sympathy cards lately because I find myself rarely making them and then I don't have one when I need it, plus my mother in law and my husband's grandmother are always in need of them.

This was a super quick, easy card I made last night. Actually I made several of these and if you notice I purposely didn't add any ribbon or other embellishments. I figured if I was giving these to my in-laws for them to use, I'd better keep them more like a note card so that they wouldn't have to worry about how much postage they would need.

This is a 2 step stampin up stamp set so all I did was stamp once using one color and then stamp again over top of my first image. I wanted to use a larger sympathy sentiment to sort of fill up some of the white space.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

This is my card for today's clean & simple challenge in which we were to create a square card. I rarely make square cards I guess because of not having an envelope the correct size, but I could make my own envelope or just mail it using a regular size envelope- I guess it really doesn't matter. I like the way this turned out and I'll have to make square cards more often.

I stamped the upper portion of my card using the leafy branch stamp. I stamped twice using two different coloring inks- More Mustard and So Saffron. To finish off my background I stamped a few flowers and them cut then out.

I used a border punch along the bottom of my background and I decided to make this a sympathy card. I do not have very many sympathy cards and I thought I'd better start replenishing my stash.

Thanks for looking! Have a great Monday!
