Thoughts of You ~ Sketch Challenge July 18, 2012

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a great day today and stayed cool!  It sure was a hot one here today, but my kiddos don't seem to mind it.  We did get some much needed rain though with a few storms that rolled through here.  Thankfully the storms near me didn't leave any damage.

I found a blog challenge the other day and I wanted to play along.  The blog is called Come and Get It Challenges and this week the challenge is a sketch challenge.  I have the sketch posted in my photo below.

It took me a little bit to figure out how I wanted to pull this card together.  I ended up using a retired SU triple layer punch for my island indigo layer.  I placed a pink button in the center with a piece of white ribbon knotted through it.

Instead of the three squares on the sketch below I decided to use my curly label punch and I had a few scraps of the twitterpated designer series paper and my card sort of went together from there.

It may be hard to see in my photo so I wanted to mention that after I punched my pink card stock with my scallop border punch I added some paper piercing along the scallops.  I didn't use a template for this; I simply pierced my paper free handed.  My sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Loving Thoughts.

Well, that's about it for tonight.  Be sure to check back tomorrow because I have 2 cards made that I will be posting!  Have a wonderful evening!
