Today's splitcoast challenge is a ways to use it challenge. For today's challenge we were to find ways to use pleats on our cards. Right away I thought of pleated ribbon. I've always wanted to try this technique, but I never did.

I actually took my ribbon and pleated it by hand and then I used my sewing machine to sew the pleats. I think this is a neat way to use ribbon, but if my sewing had been a bit neater I wouldn't have had to hide the stitching. I guess that's why I'm a stamper and not a sewer...LOL

For my stamped panel I just stamped the butterflies and sentiment. I stamped two additional butterflies and I cut them out and placed them on my card and I added some glitter to the larger pink butterfly on the left side. I used SU's Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and my ribbon is from Offray.
